The shadowcat concept looks nice.
Only question is whether it becomes a headshot magnet or not.

I don't think it will be a headshot magnet, but if it is, I'll say it is a long range support mech so it should have a large head hitbox.
Of course it is a ridiculous statement, it was just as ridiculous for the Catapult back in the day too . I'll just say it to push peoples buttons .
Honestly though, despite the size of the glass, the head hitbox will be miniscule.
P.S. +1 to Bloodweavers head redesign. It looks much better and more true to the original IMO.

Agreed. For some reason that cockpit redesign is really taking it from Shadow Cat to ... some generic mech. That's like taking an Atlas and giving it a smile. Tiny, but drastic (IMHO) change.

I wish they would show the invasion variant vs the normal one.

I'm was very underwhelmed too, but to be fair, the Shadowcat design was pretty good to begin with. I think a lot of people would be upset if they totally changed the design. After reading this thread, I'm kind of happy with the design, I just wish it had claws.
This isn't like the Centurion or Gladiator, which looked quite bad originally, and then was transformed into something more eye-pleasing. I also feel a bit numb to these new designs, because we've seen 60 different Battletech classics given the Alex Iglesias treatment, so I kind of know what to expect by now. The only big surprises are the mechs that looked completely monstrous, like the Viper / Dragonfly.
