idk anymore, yes its fun to run in a group, < ~S~ to my marik bros> ghost drops are just plain silly tho, very silly. if pgi had half a brain , they should run a CW weekend with separate que with HUGE Cbill rewards.
huge. MAKE everyone play cw.. its alot better than playing terrible therma and the bog.
let pugs fight pugs and groups fight groups, with each faction providing links for their teamspeak servers.
that would be, the first step..
the pug hate is of course as stupid as it gets.. I can be an uber player too, without even much effort with a group. its not rocket science.

Um, as far as I can tell, it takes an average team damage over 1000 to win a CW game by killing the enemy. 500 damage means you got carried.
And yeah, the quality of your team does determine your score. I get 2000 damage games when the A list(2000 damage a game, 90% of the time) guys aren't on, but the second they show up, my score drop back to the 1000-1800 range, depending on how many of them are in the game.
Agree. My lowest score to consider a match acceptable is 1500. Less means I failed.
However, sometimes there are situation where you consciously waste your mech for the "greater good" such as when omega is almost down and you rush it to deal the last few damage. Probably you deal no damage to enemy mechs and your score is low, yet you help to win the match because that's the ultimate goal of CW.
That's why I can't bear rambos and players that don't use all their available asset in order to help their team.

Actually, I've seen some perfectly balanced games where everyone got 1000-1200 damage and it was just a case of...
You're a lucky man then! I have never seen a balanced match as a solo. There are always 2 to 4 ppl that die horribly and close their match after less tha5-6 minutes with a score less than 200
I'm on a trip right now, otherwise I would have shared some really embarrassing screenshots!

I think quite the opposite. I have made more friends in cw faction groups than any other in game mode.

If you don't like it, then join a group. This is community warfare - IE - Large scale organized combat. Complaining about being a solo player and not doing well in community warfare is akin to complaining about being a single soldier on a battlefield against organized armies and not understanding why its not going well.

Most CWDG matches end up with 12 players between 900-1500 when the team is stacked. When it is not, you see the matches where 2-3 people approach/hit 2K damage or more, and then you have 3-4 under 900 with 5-7 between 900 and 1500

Solo players or groups of up to 3 should be dropped into a faction pool that only fights against other faction-pool teams. Choice of planet is completely irrelevant since terrain is randomly generated and there are no planet-bonuses.
This would make Community Warfare desirable to many more players, and help to prevent the game's badmouthing upon Steam release.

Heres how to help new players out. Pgi needs to get rid of this ******* grinding, none of the other mechwarrior games required so much grinding to enjoy the mech you desire to play in. This next challenge going on should be the normal kind of cbills you get instead it's pathetic how much you get it takes forever.

Been away from this game since November.
My experience of CW in the first 10 games: 10 minutes to form a match. Match is a PUG team of newbies and solos vs veteran 12 man. Battle characterised by one side flagrantly cheating with actual coordination and the other bravely relying on running in at random, not communicating at all, not speaking English, everyone running trial mechs and generally getting to know what the controls are (by the look of it).
Now this is what MWO is all about. Long periods of tedium followed by a quick death.
PS: actually had a few good games today. That's so disappointing.

There is no matchmaker in cw, there will always be skill and coordination inequality.
