Agreed but as PGI has stated numerous times, you can't sell maps.

It would be nice, however, if we were somehow able to donate to a "map development fund". Like the Urbie 'Mech Pack, if they reached a predetermined amount, then they would commence development of the new map. There I go dreaming again!

No thanks

No way do I think we should encourage PGI to monetize maps in ANY way. They have plenty of avenues for revenue, some of which they choose to ignore so I have no sympathy.

Timeline is now mid 3060s given recently announced chassis variants

since we're getting 100 ton 3060's mechs, does this mean I can finally get my Pillager and Devastator?

you can only get mechs that will work with current tech. If the mech can fit into the tech level of the game, to me anyhow, their timeline production as support or detraction for implementing a chassis is pointless.

No timeline means no timeline. There is no timeline in MWO. Never has been honestly. Just a clock that runs. There's been zero adherence to any timeline. There's been zero advancement of any timeline outside of chassis releases in the game. There's been zero mention of the timeline by anyone in PGI outside of "What mech from this time period would you like to see?"

Players need to get over the idea of any meaningful timeline in MWO. It doesn't exist and it can't exist because there's no forward progression in the game itself.

Yeah, the KDK-3 is a 3060 variant, but I don't think that means we're getting the whole 3060 gambit. I think the only reason they went forward with it is because it used currently available equipment.

Of course it does set a precedent for 3060 mechs that do use current in-game equipment.

I mean I want it due to nostalgia, but I'm hoping omni construction rules are dumped by then.

Honestly looking at the mech list, I think, aside from a few spots (40 tons, 70 tons, maybe 75 tons, and 90/ 95 tons brackets), we don't actually need more mechs. Personally I think we need more maps instead.

Maps and other machinery. I want to seem some helicopters and tanks personally.

The MW4 Hellhound is just a reskin as far as I know...I don't think that there are any official "canon" loadouts for it. As such, loadouts could be made up if we really wanted to...

Exactly, like custom Bitchin Betty dialogue. or monitor style customization. Decals aren't out yet either.T-shirts, pewter miniatures of the in game models.

Like honestly, they can spend 1 day making 2 nice T-Shirts. and roll in the dough. But, they're practically, letting NGNG have that market corner for some reason.

They don't have the license to make merchandise.

You would think, but PGI doesn't always make sense.
