In my opinion, they're awful. The whole lot of them.

And no... no music. They're supposed to be "war" "horns". They should sound like horns, and they should be fitting for war. Leeway can be given for the fact that this is the 31st century we're talking about here, but still...

These are just too long, too complicated, too musical, too synth. Der Walküren isn't any better.

I agree, they should be sounds not songs.

For example, the FRR warhorn should make the sound of a man groaning in agony and then rolling over dead,

I should be deeply offended and insulted by this, such a low blow...

... but instead I laughed hysterically because it's twue, it's twue! xDDDD

What is it suppose to be? I do not remember traditional warhorns are used after killing an enemy.

The war horns are silly anyway, these things are the worse of the silly ones so far...

Haven't put any on my mechs anyway because they take up space in the cockpit view.

I have to agree with everyone else. These are TERRIBLE... I also have to agree with another statement that I saw about them causing instant thoughts to iPhone ringtones instead of warhorns...

I mean seriously? They have all the sounds in the world that make something cool and threaten the enemy. And, they choose types of songs to go with... They will never been used here and personally I think whoever thought these were a good idea should be shown the door to another industry...

No one is/will ever be threatened by warhorns in MWO, no matter how scary it sounds. It is here for purely e-peen purposes, for which the Marik one fits perfectly.

Whether warhorns should belong here at all, is another question, entirely.

You already got good examples in this thread how they should be.
More horn, not ringtones from your phone.

I have seen those "player suggestions". Most of them are just as ridiculous, if not more so than that of PGI's idea. The one that is most coveted, the War of the World's warhorn, is already in game. I have more issue with how they look inside the cockpit.

Yardsale and Isobaric WHs sound great but look like UTTER ****. They should all be shaped like faction WHs.

The Davion one is going straight into my Commando (The Death's Knell), I choose each faction since I personally like these warhorns and camos personally B)

I honestly don't know what people expected.

I mean with the Clans you have a distinct animal to base it on.
With The IS you got...what some animals, a sword, hands? I mean I knew they would do this.

I mean at least some of them are reminiscent of their lore origins.

Wow... these are just... terrible. They arent even warhorns.. they are... ringtones. This is just a biscuit away from having an atlas start playing Taylor Swift after a kill.

Are you refering to the commando as being quote on quote "bad"? It's not meta but it's sure as heck isn't useless, it has amazing arm movement if not the best in the game, one of my favorite mechs of all time that's for sure ;)

Ps: Also we can hear the warhorns when we kill testing ground mechs, so I can hear it all I want on a dry spell
