So Is The New Method Just Wait Until 1-2 Hours Before Ceasefire?

Nothing against the tactic, I completely understand it, but since I can't contact my unit through our chat since there is only 1 logged in and the rest have usually only been getting online about the time I need to leave I'm hoping someone will catch this and let me know whats up.
I'm totally cool with switching back to standard for myself, but would like to know so I can start putting my rigs back to the settings I have for those maps.

It's a stupid system, but its exploitation is nothing new.

If the strategy has shifted from just getting together for the sake having fun matches to something more serious about getting planets or whatever that's fine like I said. Most of the group enjoys CW more than I do anyhow, I just enjoyed having non-pugs to drop with so it really didn't matter what the matches were to me as long as my unit/friends were playing.

If you don't like playing solo why don't you drop by on the FRR hub.

I would not agree with that completely. The NA time window ends too late in my case. I'm CST and if I am going to have a chance at 6 hours of sleep I need to log off before 10:00pm my time and that is an hour and a half before ceasefire.

The whole deadline system with a max of 15 "points" is wrong from the get go if you ask me.

Honestly about the FRR hub thing, I'm sure most of you there are good guys and all, but personally I don't find CW to be that interesting or engaging that I'd want to do it outside of with my unit.

Being on the East Coast I agree my friend. Alot of the OLDS are west coast so by the time they are rolling in I am lucky to get 2 or 3 good games with the unit. But I have been dropping with those on the FRR hub too. The Sons of Odin have some great players and getting a decent 12 man together is rather easy.
So for me I hang out at the FRR Hub until enough OLDS gather then I join the unit for our style of play.
Fun all the way around and making decent loyalty and creds too

I don't mind the slow gains WITH my team, because I perform my role and do that well enough in most matches. Being one of the guys that strips ct armor and sets up kills just doesn't pay for itself when playing with people that aren't carrying on over the comms and making the match enjoyable otherwise.

I only have 1 clan mech, so going merc isn't even an option for me, and buying those expensive clan packs without having a real idea of what they are going to do to make CW something actually interesting doesn't really play well into my gaming budget.

Its not the CW that makes playing on the hub so great, its the guys on the hub that make CW fun. Get over, bring your unit and lets beat up some clanners.

So if you are online, watch out for these guys in frr hub and you will be in good hands and will probably kill a lot of clanners! The atmosphere is always good and one can learn a lot about tactics and battlefield behavior. Just give it a try, nothing to loose for you... only to win!

This is the reason why no other times are important. Till they go for a total day scoring based on sectors held over time held (1 day) so all hours are important or at least more hours are important, and not victories, you will not see this get under control.
Alas, I don't see it happening any time soon.

The standard drops are far more enjoyable than CW to me unless my group is online, and again no offense to anyone else but I've been playing with OLD for a long time and really have little interest in playing with other people over comms as they are exactly the kind of group I want to be in other than the time zone differences versus CW's format.
Ridiculous as it is constantly getting matched up on a team of people that can barely figure out how to fire their weapons in standard is more entertaining to me than a 10 minute wait for a CW match.

Check out other units on the FRR TS if you want to stay in FRR, or start doing some homework, drop your current tags and try a new outfit. Sometimes the big units actually are the worst.

Will PGI do something in regards to cease fire times to make it more even for people across the world/country? I doubt it. Also I like the standard maps more, so not waiting for ghost drops is just fine for me lol.
