Okay so quick summary of that situation (CGB leadership feel free to correct)

-CGB active permanent contract population in CW was never that large to begin with. A good chunk was CGBI, but then you had both -MS- and CI calling them 'home' or at least their summer salmon grounds.

-So whenever those two mercenary units join CGB, the faction surged South (and occasionally East/West).Again this is active 'boots on the ground' not simply total population size.

-However when those two units left, the remaining active population was significantly reduced and (occasionally) had angry neighbors who were all too happy to take back the planets lost.

-CGB ended up losing planets to all three other Clan factions eventually, in addition to losing planets to FRR, Steiner and Kurita. Losing planets like that caused some of their loyalist to... retire.

-Additionally some loyalist joined up with -MS- full time on their tour around the IS.

-Recently, both -MS- and CI have shunned CGB, joining Clan Wolf instead so even the 50% of the time factor disappeared

-Other mercenary units appear to be avoiding contracts with CGB. I may be mistaken as I do not track them, but it certainly appears that way.

Meanwhile;
CJF has a number of active units who (while not massive) play often and are quite skilled. We also occasionally host some of the smaller merc groups. I would list you all here but I do not want to slight anyone by forgetting your names. Our major issue continues to be one of population disparity (especially when we had multiple active borders) but the GBs generally have it worse.

CSJ has maintained an active loyal core of players ever since the initial dry period at the beginning of CW and has been bolstered by 228th and other 'merc groups as well. They have been forged by the fire that is Kurita's own loyal population. With a begrudging respect with Kurita and no additional active borders, their focus is clear.

CW has (if nothing else) sheer numbers on their side but they too have an organized core of loyal units and have benefited recently by the assistance of -MS- and CI. Whether that moment continues when those units leave is the question. I, for one, certainly hope it does.

MS went wolf cause they were getting wrekt by NVKA and MS you know wants easy wins, easy fights . So they go Steiner and fight jade falcon and then they go wolf and attacked the same faction they just got done helping house Steiner!!!! Why ??? To avoid fighting Draconis combine units of course. I would call MS's strategy the "dog chasing his tail" strategy

Czarr....boobie....your faction is a 'non factor'. Your only fronts are on other 'non factor' faction fronts (that is, when you get a rare non-turret drop and actually fight real players).

FRR, Kurita, and to a lesser extent Steiner are all your superiors in every respect, while Marick and Davion are in your same non factor boat. You entire faction could quit today and it will make NO DIFFERENCE to the outcome of CW. Your faction, like your comments, has been/ is /will continue to be....WORTHLESS.

Everyone who is not you or in your faction knows this (who are we kidding, most of your faction knows it....and deep down you do too). I don't mean to be harsh, those are just the facts.

As for [-MS-] only looking for easy fights...if that is what we really wanted, we would have gone Liao. All the real units are either Clan, Kurita, FRR, or Steiner (tell us again who the powerhouse Marick and Davion units are again). Look on the bright side kid-o, you keep telling your self this cr@p long enough, you just might believe it.

Lol "superiors"??? TCAF has more planets then MS and is superior to MS in every way, and unlike MS can actually hold on to thier planets cause they don't change faction every two days. In fact we destroyed the Davions . Crushed them like ants. But just keep pretending you're "superior" when you couldn't manage to fight off the kurita mercs

Oh, well you destroyed the Davions, you must be the best faction ever. Oh, and you are right, [-MS-] is a garbage unit, I mean last night [-MS-] got our butts kicked so hard we only took planets from FRR, Steiner, and Kurtia. (tell us again the last time your whole FACTION took more than 2 planets, not a unit mind you, your whole damn faction...has Liao even done that once?)

I have much respect for [TCAF] (even created a thread to that extent). That being said, [TCAF] SHOULD have the most planets because they fight...NO ONE, they defend against...NO ONE, and as you said...they NEVER leave Liao (always able to defend all of their planets).

Look at the map boobie, [-MS-] have planets in 5, count them FIVE different factions. [-MS-] fights units like [Lords], [EmP], [NVKA], [NS], [228], [SRPH], and [PHI] every night, we have beat them all (yes, even your precious [TCAF], and we WIN far, Far, FAR more often than not (even against your precious [TCAF]).

We can't all be like Liao and take planets from [NVKA], [NS], [Lords], [228], and the like....oh, wait i forgot....Liao doesn't fight on a real front against actual units...sorry, my bad. Don't let me burst your bubble, you go right on thinking that beating up on Davion pugs means you are l33t.

While [TCAF] is a fine unit (my favorite match EVER was 48-47 win over TCAF with less then 30 seconds on the clock), they are fighting piles of steaming hot garbage 99.999% of the time. I am going to hold off final judgement on [TCAF] until I see them take a contract in a real faction, and see how they handle fighting against actual units. (If they ever do fight on a real front that is).

Wow, you won planets by zerging , which ensures that at least a few of your drop groups get ghost drops. Ghost dropping the planet to victory or pug stomping takes no elite skills, you win some but you also lose a lot. I'm not seeing this "superior unit" title that you claim to be. Unless you consider fighting turrets and pugs to be and example of an elite unit. Davion doesn't have any actual units?

And those units you mention they get respect because they at least make it a competition where the defender has a chance of winning back the planet, compared to MS where thier is no competition , the planet is a "lost cause" cause MS is zerging guaranteeing them the win, that's why thier is so much rage on the forums against MS

You are so right, the only way [-MS-] can win a match is turret zerging, no WAY we could ever take out a pug 12 man let alone an actual unit. I mean at least 95% of [-MS-] drops are ghost drops. Liao has the best pilots, and fight against the best of the best units, and anyone who thinks different is on acid.

As I said, you keep telling yourself that and one day, ONE DAY, it might actually come true.

Seriously though, thank you SO much for the entertainment Czarr, your make believe is the best make believe. /wink

Fight Liao??? [-MS-] could never hope to win against such a force. No, no, I think I will try to get leadership to JOIN Liao. See we can only win matches against turrets and pugs and need the big and mighty Liao to carry us. Our contract is up in a few days and we can fight side by side SOON.

You have convinced me, the only hope [-MS-] has is to join Liao or be crushed by them. I will light a fire under leaderships butts and make it happen. Liao and [-MS-] together...FOREVER. Just think boope, you are the one that made it all possible. Songs will be sung about you for at least the next millennium.

Silly boope, how can that be....you have already proven that [-MS-] can't win a match unless it is against turrets. This post makes no sense. I mean [-MS-] couldn't find a way to win with a map, two hands, and a flashlight right??? Liao fights on the most active front in CW, against the best units, and never EVER loses. Liao people are 20' tall and fart lighting, and all other factions cower in their presence.

Or is what you are really trying to say is the [-MS-] takes what it wants, from who it wants, when it wants, how it wants, where it wants, and no one in the community can stop us?

You are contradicting yourself Czarr... [-MS-] are chumps that couldn't bust our way out of a wet paper sack, or [-MS-] are the big, bad, boogieman. Can't be both, so which is it?

No you guys have no skill , you just Zerg to win the planet. No contradiction at all. But hey sorry you can't handle my criticism of MS. I guess we're all suppose to think highly of MS and say only wonderful things about them?

The most I have seen personally is about 300 people. That said, with the way the "Faction" tab is set up, you can only see the fights going on only for your faction, so that was no where near a 'complete' number.

I agree there is no 'goal' but it seems the Clans have made taking Terra their main goal. It is for this reason that Marick, Davion, and Liao are considered 'non-fronts' in the quest to retake Terra.

I would like to see PGI implement a system that rewards both the Faction, and the Units for taking planets. I have posted in another tread some potential rewards...

...Increases to Loyalty Rewards for each planet held (something like 1% per planet).
...Increases to C-Bill Rewards for each planet held (will use 1% per planet as the example)
...Discounts on Mech Chassis / Variants produced on that planet. (Take Keystone and pick up T-Bolts @ 20% discount)
...Discounts on Modules (Take xyz planet and be able to purchase {insert one module here] @ 20% discount).

Just to name a few possible incentives for faction / units to take and hold as many planets as possible.

Upon retrospect, this game was pretty bad, and everyone should uninstall.

On the other hand, Armando wouldn't be able to amuse the masses with his excellent forum PvP, and that would be a shame.

We should now ask ourselves a serious philosophical question: do we collectively agree to keep MWO alive for the sake of forum man-child drama, or forsake this pile of **** and let capitalism run its due course?
