[Tweaks]

I'm one of those who bought the Legendary Founders package and the biggest Phoenix Package, and some of the new clan packages, which means I have over 40 Mech Bays in my inventory. I've since sold many of the chassis that I didn't like or play with to get C-Bills (which a ton of people do too, let's be honest), which means I have nearly 30 free Mech bays right now. (45 owned, 27 free to be precise at the moment).

So when I get another free Mech Bay because of some event, I really couldn't give a crap and I'm just like ... "Meh...".

It would be very nice if such events that give free Mech Bays would replace this reward by something else (i.e. some MCs) when the player has more than XX amount of free Mech Bays already and probably doesn't need any more.

No way. free mech bays are great for attracting newer players and expanding the games popularity. That's what I want.

They said online player counts peaked a couple weekends ago. This is a very grindy game but I don't think the playerbase is as bad as you're implying.

Since mech bays can only be purchased for MC ... I think most people like getting mech bays as a prize. In your case, I can see how having yet another mech bay seems pretty useless ... but I suspect that you are in a small minority on this. Any mechs that you buy for cbills (or hero mechs) require an existing mech bay. If someone keeps most of the mechs from the various packs then there will always be a need for mech bays.

P.S. The only packaged mech that I have been close to selling off is the locust ... but I decided to hang onto it in case it ever becomes useful (I have seen a couple of folks do well in SPL locust builds ... but I haven't managed that yet).

Not going to happen. Its a great incentive to get people to play more/spend more by the "ooooh, fill me with a mech..." factor and it's 'cheap' in that they have a low price so PGI aren't losing much on each give away.

It would be nice to see more variety though/not have them as the default giveway, as they can get repetitive and not everyone is going to get excited/incentivised by them.

That cracked me up lol! No seriously, I'm just asking for a way to sell 'Mech Bays for the ones who already have too many as it is and don't need anymore. I'm not asking for them to stop giving them out completely.

I can assure you I'm not such a minority as you people may think. I know a lot of other players who also bought packages that came with Mech bays have a ton of free ones at the moment because they sold some Mechs over time. There is an issue, even if it doesn't concern everyone and that's a fact. All I'm asking is for a way to sell some when I have already more than a certain amount free.

You sure are ungrateful, we get a fun event and your having earned a mechbay or two which you don't personally need is justification for a change to the event?

Seriously though, not everything in life needs to be 100% optimized around you. You do realize that right? I am all for useful criticism but this is like calling pizza hut to complain that this weeks coupons included the Hawaiian which you will never eat in addition to a bunch of stuff you would.

Yeah I'm a little less than that with 90 and 1 or 2 free. I love the free mech bay with MC purchase. MWO has been the absolute BEST when it comes to offering extras in game. I always feel like I get my money's worth. I've played a bunch of MMO's over the years and MWO crew is hands down the most generous. Keep up the good work!
