As Bishop said... at this point by the time I die I'm missing an arm, most of the armor (if not all) on all three torsos, and I'm pretty much spent. Doesn't matter if they take an XL or the CT at that point... I've given all I had to give.
Thus, is the beginning of wisdom, grasshopper!

The 6T is tough. I run 3 x LRM-5 with Artemis and 3 Large Lasers. But it's still not as good as either of the other variants, at least in my opinion.
I was running the T as a brawler and for the life of me couldn't get a team in solo that would move. The camping was extreme, the camping was real. So I essentially got bored and yolo suicide charged someone each time hoping to get at least 1 kill before going down.

I hear/read people say that Zeus are very tanky. not for me.
right now im using a
3SRM6+LP+2ML
2LP+2MPL+SRM6
Gauss+4ML+SRM6
(* all with Range5 modules, STD engine@64kph)
frustrating...

It's the issue of ballistics requiring a high upfront tonnage investment, while mediums are known for being short on tonnage... Mediums are one of the classes that rely more on laser vomit (sometimes missiles) than most others (lights do it to an even greater extent) because of simply not having the weight they need to make truly good use of dakka.
The fact that the only light ballistic we do have (the MG) is poopy doesn't exactly help much.
The most passable builds I could scrape together were:
A. 2 UAC/5 + Small Laser, XL255, like 5.5 tons of ammo, no JJs (to fit that ammo!). It has good damage output and can eat people but runs dry real fast.
B. LPL + UAC/5 + 3 MGs, 2 JJs and I forgot the engine size (XL285?). It had less upfront damage but could fit its payload easier and stay in the fight longer (better ammo efficiency, better backup laser), also more maneuverable. It could still crank out decent dakka with just a single UAC/5 due to the quirks for it. The MGs were just for placebo really.
I once tried LPL + 2 AC/2...but dear flying spaghetti monster it was garbage.

We need to get more into the artwork and the beauty have some style do our killing with some flavour and Zeus does it quite nicely.
Anyone who appreciates cents should appreciate this also.

And yeah, the MGs really are more for placebo effect than actual crit-seeking, though I guess that's always up for change if/when they ever give MGs and flamers another balance pass (*crosses fingers*).
Dual UAC5s on this thing are garbage, but that's probably more my playstyle. Not a UAC fan in general. I don't like my weapons not being available when they say they are.

I always felt Mediums rely on mixed loadouts mores...because they don't have the tonnage for Dakka Vomit,..... but also usually don't have the tonnage for enough heatsinks for true laser vomit. It's why I tend to see less successful medium "boats" than in other weights. I see a lot more 2 weapon system loadouts (dakka-pew/splat-pew) than in any other weight class, as it tends to give that needed balance between punch and endurance.
Lights don't have the tonnage to usually overgun much in the first place, so not an issue.

It's my least favored ENF. OK... I actually hate it.
That said, for me, I ran a 250XL, 2 ac5 in the LA; and 1 MPL. Seemed to do OK, just very boring, and sword and board is not my style.

I have a collection of mechs that I like for solo and group PUGs. I've come to realize that those builds can't compete in 12 man games and CW. The competition is too intense. So I've started dividing my mechs into "for me" and "for CW"
For example:
GRF-3M (4xSRM4A, 2xMPL, XL300, 1JJ) is for CW
WVR-7K (3xSRM6A, 3ML, XL300, 2JJ) is for fun
Now if PGI would only let us prep up multiple drop decks and quickly toggle between them, that would be awesome.

This is a public queue mech...not so much a CW utility mech.
Even if your team isn't packing LRM's, throwing narcs on ECM mechs is never a bad idea...and chances are SOMEONE has a couple lrms in a pug match.

eh...that's a 6S build, GB. I love my 6S already. It's Spr1ggan that needs a happy 6S. I'm just trying to find a happy 6T, though my SRM6 brawler one i'd OK. (Loses that arm mighty fast though, lol)
