Hey guys!

How would you feel about having a pinned thread in General Discussion that gets updated with a post when Russ posts a new tweet?

We'll see what we can do for an automated posting thread, but for the moment it's gonna have to be manually done!

Hi Tina.

You might consider contacting Zeece, he basically provides this service to the community on Reddit HPG and sometimes here as well.

That would be an overall improvement, so yeah I'd like to see it. Like I've said before I can understand why Twitter is a good platform for Russ to post about some stuff so I'm not campaigning for him to abandon his Twitter or anything.

The problem I have though is when Russ does not (seem to) bother seeking feedback on mwomercs.com for changes like extra clan XL penalties or tonnage balancing for IS vs clans in CW, that is the point when it gets a little annoying. It would help a lot if at least some considerations were posted on these forums as well, and if the Comstar Focus Group forum section was put into use again, because I don't want to see these discussions solely taking place on Twitter and I think that's a reasonable expectation.

I don't see why the Comstar Focus Group hasn't been put back into use already actually, especially since we do have a community manager here now, so if somebody could actually work on that it would be nice.

Russ does it again. Just asked the community on thoughts for a new IS ECM mech on Twitter only again.

Does this guy not have forum privileges or something?

Or maybe he only cares what people with Twitter accounts think?

Very few things actually get under my skin, but for some reason that just drives me nuts

Russ is probably incredibly gun shy when it comes to the forums. He use to post here a lot but has been blasted a good number of times.

In the end though, I completely agree. Asking questions and releasing info on Twitter only is really really bad.

Also, Tina no, I don't want that. I want Russ to post on the website ran by the company he owns. If that is not possible then someone else needs to be presenting that info here. If a lame sticky is all I can get I guess it will do. Definitely not ideal though.

Good idea Tina, but I think an automated thread would be a bad idea. A lot of the tweets are simply not important enough to be of general interest, because they are just quick responses to trivial questions.

A manually updated thread with the interesting tweets might be good, but on the other hand you could just as well try to make more frequent dev announcements that contains the same information Russ tweets.

IMO there is nothing special about twitter that makes it worthy of it's own thread, the important part is that relevant information is posted on the forum and not ONLY on twitter.
