First you wanted the AC 2 to be removed from the game because you believed it to be a extremely underpowered weapon even though you haven't played the game yet.

Now you want to replace one of the most popular weapons with a non canonical weapon? I will never understand you.
Even if it didn't change anything but the name it's still a very bad idea in my opinion.

Plus PPCs would have more range wouldn't they?

Okay, how about this? We replace the PPCs we all love with what this guy wants, then we get rid of AC/2's. While we're at it, no one uses medium lasers anymore, right? What about small ones? Gauss Rifles should be railguns, cuz they iz kooler. We'll power 'Mechs on zero point energy, because fusion is out, and how about a time travel story? People like those, right?
