Im going to find a way to contact him and see what i can do to get the ball rolling on an actual movie.

I mean the easiest way to really get the red tape down would be (if i had just a bunch of F-U money) to buy out the holding company, buy a licence from Microsoft, and another from H-gold (or if we are talking about having just a tonne of F-U money) or just buy out the macross part and put it all under one "roof". would make a lot of this crap a lot easier to go about. Plus it would also open up a lot of developers for other video games of the IP.

could it be bred for war by stackpole? He's a good writer! one of my favorite!

That's him i think, when the Prince came back and found his sister in charge and his kingdom lost i was genuinely pissed off. I recall standing up and going NO! F-u Katrina NO!. Well worth a read.

I forgot who the author is but the guy that did the book series with Price Victor heading out for the trial of Annihilation of CSJ was a killer read, don't know how he would do on a script.

the Hunter Trillogie by Thomas Gressman was indeed one of the best trillogies from all BT novels- the last CBT Book by Stackpole - was an 100% unworthy, horrible boring, copy & pasted StarWars (dozens of other adjectives) conclusion.

Later Stackpole did appologieze for the quality of his last books and explained it with horrible conditions of the publisher (no money, time preassure) - they didn't wanted good books they wanted to sell books.

In general I don't like Stackpoles characters - to many Mary Sues stereotypes (don't belive me - go find another of Stackpoles books - and you find Victor Allard Liao riding to save the DragonCrown, or Hanse Morgan Kell flying X-Wings and blowing up Deathstars.

Really when I think of the old BT-Novel series there is hardly any book that is worth a movie. Maybe with fewer Mechs the Blinding Force Novel - with Giovantis Angels facing Word Of Blake could be interesting.

I really enjoyed the Short Story "Hector" - describing one of the few occassions were Wolfs Dragoons were defeated. Although to many Mechs.

To many Mechs?
Yes I really don't want to see more then a couple of Mechs - try to make a good movie without any Mechs and then carefull replace on or two vehicles with a Mech.

for me ..the Gray Dead Triology the best from Keith, Stackpole to begin was very ok ..the further way in the Novels was most a Less of Quality with only a Handfull Top Storys...Mainstream Novels like the most was come in WH40K Storys who the storys in White Dwarf most worlds better al in the Books ..the most was Trash SF with a Little WH40k Ambient

What i would hope in the movie is the first time you see a Mech its a BIG DEAL, they were for the most part not that common and unless there was a specific mech vs mech engagement/objective you didnt see a lot of them let alone the really big boys. so when say a Atlas is discovered on the field, there needs to be a genuine feeling of fear.

Hollywood seems to be very against giant robot live action movies . Robot Jox and Pacific Rim and a few no name very low budget vomit and that's about it . I won't hold my breath on a mech warrior movie .

Transformers don't count . They are giant metallic alien beings .

Mix Enemy At The Gates,Saving Private Ryan,The Walking Dead, and Sons Of Anarchy in a dystopian back water world under attack from a vastly larger force invading for reasons unknown.

I thought the Blood of Kerensky Trilogy was great, and I liked the run of Natural Selection, Bred For War and Malicious intent are great. I reread one of those when I need a fix. I have to confess I never read the Warrior Trilogy and I am saving that.

His Battletech back then needed more shades of gray and less black and white. Basically more Vlad and less Kai/Phelan.
