However, in midst that data, there are some players/units trying to farm through 80pt matches as quickly and/or conveniently as possible, and that makes some things weird.

Most of my matches were actually pretty fun, there are just those rare occasions...^^'
I mean the other one was a bunch of crows just discrespectfully running past our team, which was at least fast over. Nvm the 20 minute waiting time before and that nobody reached 80pts.

There is a big issue, though: Almost all of them were simply decided by the matchmaking, or better said the lack thereof. That might not be a sustainable environment. I think at least the defenders advantage should go to a clearly inferior team (e.g. the prug deffing the premade).

I also think data is one of the reasons for this tournament. There are a bunch of changes and clan nerfs on the horizon, so it fits the picture.

Probably, but CW in general favors Clan technology.

It tends to. IS matches tend to end in much more brutal fights, although some makes like the STK-4N can also make it a pokefest.

To be more precise, i'd say there are exactly 3 certain mechs which are an issue. And that's not counting the daishi, which isn't necessary considering the others firepower.

On the event page it says: "this Event applies to both Solo and Group Community Warfare queues". Are there 2 separate queues in CW now?

Nope, both queues lead to the same matches.

Okay some feedback PGI.

Last round my team got caught in the gates, I snuck through and took out 1 and 1/2 generators, was hunted and killed, than dropped again and solo'd the rest. No one other than me hit the generators (the omega generators, not the gate gens). We lost the round after getting Omega to 50%.

And my match score was not high enough. Not cool, that round I empirically did more than anyone in the team.

Therefore primary objectives require rewards.

After 5 matches I'm done.

It's not hard to get the 80 points. But if I'm going to spend 10 minutes waiting for a 20 minute match, I'd like to have a sporting chance of winning a match... and that's just not happening.

All five times I've been dropped with a bunch of other solo players - many of them in trial Mechs - and been tasked to fight an organised 12 man. The Pugs inevitably derp into oblivion having done less than 100 damage per Mech, leaving me and a couple of other team mates to be spawn-camped in our last two Mechs.

It's not the 12-mans' fault. I'm sure they didn't ask to club baby seals all weekend.

But nor do I find it fun to get culled every 40 minutes.

I'm only playing CW for the challenge. Currently... CW is the most tedious thing ever. Its not enjoyable to play, let alone trying to get into a game.

Outside of a match the UI is horrible, very little of it makes sense or is in a logical location. Beta or not, its not a good start.

I know im gonna get moaned at by all you forum trolls but its really not enjoyable.

*Yawns and stretches*

I was able to complete the challenge in about 8 hours, give or take about 30 min.

Just wanted to say, it can be done.

Mordynak, I give you right, CW is tedious and not fun, after 6-7 games only one was good for the challenge, CBills was bad and as well the rest.

I was thinking to have fun getting ransk for my faction but now I see little point of doing so.

I'm glad other people are doing well...I must be either extremely unlucky or I suck...This does remind me why I have stayed out of CW though. PUG IS vs pre-made clan is a murderfest. I wonder if PGI is ever going to go IS Company(12) vs Clan Binary (10).

I also hope PGI comes up with something better than the whole cannon thing for CW.

Oh it was fun, had a blast with the guys at 228 running around and being silly. Also made about 13 mil in Cbills too.

All of my games, even the 21st one are all green.

I just have to say:

At least if you have no Ghost drops it is pretty doable to get every match the score if you are an average player.

I played CW before the event and the experience since last night has been much better.

I think the main difference has been in this event I've done nothing but attack. Even if I have a chance to defend a planet I ignore it. (With the occasional Hold Territory on counter-attack).

This previously wasn't possible but there are so many players in CW currently, and FRR has multiple clan borders and no IS borders. So every place we attack gets defenders from all of the Clans. I haven't run across a big premade group yet.

I don't win every match but they are good matches, and we are almost all getting the 80 pts.

Such simple things making such a difference in the fun level of CW. Im getting matches fast, I'm not playing against pre-mades and I'm getting a better reward than I would in non-CW.

It's telling you guys are clan players. Waiting times for IS are a lot longer, a match every 30/40 mins is something we can only dream of. Most planets have stacked multiple IS groups.

Honestly the issue may be that you don't have a Clan border. Your only attack options with 'enemy' planets are Kurita and Laio right? and each of those can only be defended by that single House. And that's only if they want to defend, Kurita in particular has attack options with Clans that get probably faster matches since defenders from any Clan can defend (so a much bigger pool of players).

You really should be able to score multiple points in a match during these challenges. The lack of incentive to perform well is kind of irritating. You pretty much receive 80 points for not falling on your face on the way out of the dropship.

This is even worse during solo drop challenges, where it's only logical for me to complete it by dive bombing an enemy lance with a Huggin/Firestarter, get a kill or two and drop in another mech. If I could receive another point for another 30 match score it would be more sensible for me to play as normal.

In order to keep better players grinding, which seems to be the goal of these challenges, you could simply expand the rewards to have more "low tier" rewards after reaching the main reward.
