Just defeated a 12-man with a rag-tag band of puggies.

If you're living dat puglife, hop on comms and COORDINATE WITH YOUR TEAM. Call out enemy locations, wounded enemies, etc. The biggest advantage of a 12-man is coordination, take away that advantage and the playing field is much more level.

It's just like Rampancy said any failings in CW generally stems from a lack of communication and coordination it's not PGI's fault or the "arrogant" premades its just your own teammates failure to communicate. They gave us VOIP what more do you want? The means of victory are present if they aren't utilized how is that anyone's fault except for the user? And ice ferrets have some pretty glaring weaknesses i have 3 all elite if you blow an arm off their combat effectiveness decreases dramatically. I understand losing sucks but rather than whine on the forums break out that mic and coordinate or find 11 other butthurt dudes and make your own damn premade.

Great, well I'm not joining some immature group of arrogant jerks so stop putting me in matches with premades

OHHHHHH!! APPLY LOTION TO BURNED AREA!!!!

Seriously, thanks OP, I needed a laugh..
I'll bite on troll bait..
Some of the best, most honorable players I have met in this game have been through organized CW.

People who look out for eachother.
People who support their team.
People who don't complain about every single loss, and instead ask themselves how they can do better, without the slightest hint of *ragequit*.

I'm honestly surprised you didn't throw in a dash of "Clans OP PGI plz nerf!" with that..

CW isn't for the faint of heart.
*PS: Ice Ferret rushing , or "ferreting" is actually a response to a strategy that became common among inner sphere teams using Firestarter/Spider rushes.

I don't even need to elaborate on this. EVERYONE in game is on the same page with this. Make the premade groups fight premade groups and have the public random groups fight public random groups. You know, how EVERY OTHER MODERN GAME DOES IT! Most versions of Halo do that. Starcraft II does that. I can't actually think of a game that doesn't do that.

I'm not joining some arrogant, "we're better than you" unit to have a pissing contest that make professional wrestling look civil. I am against all units/guilds/clans in every game. I absolutely refuse to join one. But guess what that means! I get to lose every single faction match. 100% of them are against some premade jerks with overpowered mechs and my random group has zero change of winning. Every single time I have the highest match score by about a lightyear but I get stuck with new people who have no idea what they're doing. Even with pros that have been playing forever, we just lost in 100 seconds to a 12 ice ferret rush. What the heck am I supposed to do about that? They're basically cheating. They're ganging up in a premade group to use some exploit strategy. Put a stop to it or there's no reason for normal people to even play the game anymore. I am not going to sit here and lose every single match because the developers can't figure out that premades should be blocked from playing PUGs.

Gee, anyone else maybe have a similar viewpoint? I wonder.

Yo rookie, dont include me with your blanket EVERYONE statement. If CW is too rough for you ... the kiddy pool aka solo queue is over there.

Sounds like desolator777 needs a timeout, lol.

Seriously though, CW has been a very long time coming. From the very beginning, it was advertised as the hardcore, RP game mode designed with Unit play in mind. Puggers are welcome to try their hand, but they do so knowing that they're stepping into a whole new ballgame. What I find funny is the shock and horror they always display, complete with a forum thread to vent their rage, every time they get rocked by a Unit. It's time to get real; CW doesn't have the population at the moment to support segregated game play like the three pugging game modes. Even if it did, it still wouldn't really fix the puggers' problems since CW will remain dominated by Unit play, with planets rising and falling as the Units will it. That's how it should be. It's time for the puggers to get over that.

CW has a lot of things that need fixing or tweaking. Pugs versus groups isn't the big problem at the moment; puggers just need to realize that this is not their game mode and quit squeaking for PGI oil.

QFT.

And it's not a CW "issue": a team will always win versus a bunch of puggies, because teamwork is OP.

When a dude starts saying I will never join a unit because "They're basically cheating. They're ganging up in a premade group to use some exploit strategy.I'm not joining some arrogant, "we're better than you" unit".... this means that the dude has understood nothing about the game.
Solo drops can be fun, though.

In general I think wasting resources on CW is a mistake because it doesn't bind new players to the game nor does it do the same for solo player if it isn't opened to PuGs. Flaming puggers doesn't help you either. You will always have people who play games more casual and often for good reasons. Those are usually the majority of online games. On the long run the player numbers will dwindle further due to the lack of binding and goals. Let's be honest, doing continously the same arena maps on many subpar maps (Forest Colony, Therma etc) is not that thrilling.

I totally agree with you. However, I also find it equally amusing that on the other hand you see the "pros" complain about long queue times or proposing changes which actually dismantle the star map. Niche mode in a niche game ;)Edit: Pre-coffee time /groan

You know, with comments like that you pretty much prove some prejudice people have against premade players ;)

The numbers i remember, from about that time, showed 85% of matches were pug drops, with half of the remaining 15% in groups of 2.

Drops. The important word is DROPS. 1 12 man was equal to 1 solo. Now redo you calculations and admit you dont know what youre talkign about.

PGI plz nerf :P

On another note, as the last surviving player on a terrible solo drop in CW, the enemy team a 12 man drop, over ran the dropzone and was spawn killing.

Coming in hot on the dropship, I hit the all chat and demanded honorable zellbringen, and they circled around and let me pick who to duel .

It was awesome, and an honorable loss for me. :D
