Great idea about the green stuff. Especially to repair gaps that happen due to material cooling shrink.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I'm in a primier shortage, which should be filled this week. Once I get that I should be able to throw up some pictures of the Madcat I'm working on, which is also my test bed for the liquid green stuff.

I noticed you printed a few mechs that have degraded faces, some of which you seemed to have fixed (Kintaro, Trenchmouth) but some you have not (jager) is there a reason for this?

Also, have you tried the Puma/Adder yet? Ended up having build new ankles, back , ppcs and a few other parts for it due to degraded faces that I could not fix.

Short of rebuilding the section or entire piece from scratch is there a quicker way to get around that?

ShadowLiger,

So if someone from PGI were to say it's ok to post, I'll put them up on Thingiverse. Given that truly the creative work is theirs and all I did was manipulate its form, I would not want to post it without express permission.

Number767,

So what you see from my modeling / printing is from about a year's worth using MANY different processes and tools and two different 3D printers. There's been a lot of trial and error....much more error than success.

In fact the first prints I made were simply using the .scale files and hoping things turned out better than a big mess of melted plastic, which was not uncommon.

The process I've posted fixes the majority of degraded faces now and I hadn't worked it out when I first worked with the Jagermech and others.

What kinds of tools are you using to fix them? I'd love to try my hand at the Banshee again....it's my 3D printing nemesis

Time and Blender. If I have a degraded face that netfab can not deal with I delete the area and build it myself.

You're brave. Blender is scary. I avoid it unless I have no other choice like with the King Crab claws.

It's pretty darn powerful, but also intimidating...

Hey Reven, great work!

I'm a pretty capable 3D modeler. I kind of do it for a living. If you want to shoot me the 3D files in an IGES, STL, or SLDPRT format I can articulate the pieces for you.

Ya know, if that's what you're into.
