Why is it Clan warhorns, that have been around longer, are more expensive than the Innersphere faction warhorns? Do you guys really just hate us Clansmen that much? Makes no logical sense.

Our war horns use advanced tech too.
That's why the price is scaled like our mechs.

If coolness is a factor in price, then the Jade Falcon warhorn should be free.

Plus if people are willing to spend it then the seller will be willing to charge it.

My guess is that PGI assumes that people who can afford buying clan mechs (for real money) are also more willing to pay more for warhorns, and they're probably right. Just business.

Simple. Clans are PGI cash cow. They Nerf the Clans in the guis of balance. I am still opposed to the fact Clan packs are 40 more in price. The IS ***** and moan that it is due to they need to put xl and this and that... Clans cannot even change 3/4s of what is to be an easily configurable chassis. If we were able to actually configure our omnimech in a closer to inner sphere standard I could see charging the price they do, but they made the lack of options the balance point to the inner sphere yet we got no return on it. Yeah sphereoids need to shell out some Cbills after they take the IS mechs to customize it to their delight. As a Clansmen we do not get that. Everything aside from weapons and ammo, maybe a extra dhs is locked down. No customizing anything.

Clans are the cash cow. Pgi realized the Clans loyalists and fans have not had their chassis in focus since mid 90s,and we were itching to get it back. Be able to fly our flag. We were taken advantage of and had no problem with it wave 1. We also had no idea what to expect aside that Clans would not be as powerful as past games. Not bad, but did we expect the Nerf bat? Not really. The clan loyalists love the Clans, we fell for their trial and Russ and Bryan get to laugh it to the bank with the excuse of, "well our first two packs you fell for over charging. Not letting the cow go now!

Both sides also suffer from the fact that there are many many fanboys that are willing to pay 10x the reasonable price for an imaginary product, this causes us to be collectively willing to accept optimum {LT-MOB-25}-bag levels of prices because we have an investment that goes beyond that of the normal consumer, as with most anything else this causes our stuff to be more expensive so that PGI can afford going to an island every other week.

Having the mature white-knighters with a solid monthly income shower the useless proletariat that manages this game with cash and scream their crusader like attitudes at anyone trying to raise any concerns further perpetuates the idea to PGI that we are in favour of their practices.

Clan warhorns, with the exception of the Jade Parrot warhorn, actually sound alright.

Inner Sphere warjingles sound like the "mission successful" tune from a B-level RTS game.

Uhm... I was joking above, but you sound rather serious about it.

Do you realize that:
$ prices must correlate to MC prices
MC prices must correlate to C-Bill prices
C-Bill prices for clans are higher because of more fancy tech (XL, Endo, FF, DHS).

It MUST be that way, otherwise buying stuff one way would put other ways on a huge disadvantage and/or be a bad deal for one side (either players or PGI), which would then in turn lead to massive flaming and whining about stupidly imbalanced values.

So it's the funny situation that more tech ingame actually costs more real life money.
If you fit an IS mech with all the fancy tech, it has a similar price as a comparable clan mech. Try it in smurfy's.

Basic math.

I suggest a little more brain, a little less emotional shortsighted ranting.

Oh how nice.
May I translate that:
"Be a emotionally driven moron, try to destroy the game!"

I'm a software developer myself, although in a pretty different field, but may I ask to consider:

Building, running, maintaining a software is an high tech undertaking with an incredible high effort behind the scenes that "simple users" (yes I mean you) will never grasp.
There are YEARS of work to do in backend stuff (serverside improvement, analysis, automation, backups, hardware), QA, coordination. Not to mention the usual corporate overhead like human resources management, IT administration, redundancy, marketing, blablabla.

It is NOT the case that software developers sit 7,5 hours on their lazy ass all day, playing the game themselves and then say "ah, well, yes, okay, let's be kind and turn off the bug that everyone is whining about."
It is HARD work. Long work. Expensive work.

For MWO, all that has to come from a few bucks here and there that people spend on new mechs.
Personally, I don't see how PGI can even come close to cover its expenses by that.

And then some child storms in and says "Vote with your wallet, stop buying their crap!".
So you want to get everybody to destroy the game, is that it?
Great job.

Umm... The packages do not correlate to mc or Cbills. A freaking light is the same value as a Assault... So no, it is not basic math. The wave II Reinforcement pack had each of those Mechs based accordingly.

Look, I do not care about end game prices. Or customization. The default pack prices should be priced equal. The whole freaking point of what pgi is trying to do is balance Clan and inner sphere and quirks aside they have been doing decent in a basic fashion.

Resistance pack for 4 Mech sets is 80 dollars, Clans is 120.that is the problem. Clans are not superior enough to warrant a 40 dollar price jump. But yes I know, I am wrong. Everyone tells the clan 'whiners' this. We just want equality where pgi claims it should be equal.

Get a clue dude.

Clans run XL engines that don't explode when they lose a torso, END OF DISCUSSION.

And you say that like its the end all be all of advantages that causes us to win every match we ever set foot in. GG guys, clan mechs!

No one would play clans if they were forced to carry an XL that was as brittle as the IS piece of junk. We would all just chill out in Large Laser Stalkers and PPC Thunderbolts laughing about our ridiculous heat management quirks.

Umm... you get a clue. You get Assaults that can only die if you take out the center torso or they can be mediums or maybe a heavy.. You get to remove, swap around, add Ferro and Endo. Most of your mechs get free extra hard point. Oh, yeah and YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR ENGINE. Yeah, I wish my higher cost allowed me to actually change my omnimech aside from playing change the turtle's arm to a beebop.
