Btw, the video inspired me to put gauss/erppcs on one of my direwolfs again.
IMO the laservomit build is still stronger because it's more versatile (and it doesn't have to fight with ERPPC hitreg), but frontloading 50 pinpoint damage (well, below 500m, outside of that the er ppcs will desynch too hard) is a hell lot of fun.

Got 6 kills the first match. Still a fun mech, but overall the Gauss/laservomit dire is probably stronger.

damn high mounted energy hardpoints!
I've got an 800 damage 6 kill Commando game recorded, pre quirks. Locust got hit hard by the quirk fairy!

Oh no, a Commando can trash a locust, but locust's just have higher damage potential on big mechs, or any game really.

They are in the same ball park as far as Pilots with balls goes, but they each fulfill a different role.

Okay I gotta throw my hat in the ring. I didnt have nearly the firepower of the Dire in my little ole light. But I made it work. No video though :( Though some will say FS9 hitboxes are wonky, I didnt benefit that much as I played mostly poke n shoot n reposition and didnt give em too many chances to hit me.

Edit: Played that one on Tuesday I think, so its not an ancient best ever shot ;)

Oh also, great games to the both of you Dontor and InspectorG :)

My X5?

It a Cicada B clone. Was doing a 3ERLL mini-Stalker but im not the best sniper. 27 dmg at 810m but a bit hot. So i went back to my beloved Wubs.

1LPL, 3MPL. XL300, endo, ferro(came with it) Alpha is 29 damage...so 1 dmg shy of the B.

MPLs are same range as the B.

Runs slightly hotter with a slightly longer cooldown so it evens out a bit. 19 vs 20 heat per alpha( before quirks) 18 vs 17 with quirks?
Slightly longer burn time...i think. 2.5%? Not a deal breaker for me.

But can poke a bit further with the LPL at around 430m optimal. LPL cooldown module may synch it up with the MPL better but i havent tried it yet.

It can afford to lose an arm...not that Cicadas lose arms all that much.
Better turn rate than the B.

MIGHT shave armor for 1 more DHS, but that might just be greedy. Arms and Legs are rarely lost so it might be viable in Puglandia at least.

Working well so far. Very similar. Plays just about identical. With a C-bill bonus!!!

Locusts, Cicadas, Stalkers...i guess i do well in arm-less chicken walkers? Peek-a-boo, I Wub you!

That's what I'm talking about. I've been playing Awesomes only for more then an hour today and guess what? Lose streak. Not even a single win, despite dealing 500+ dmg per match. And that's how every my playing session begins. MM is terrible. PGI doesn't deserve my money, till it won't be fixed.

Sorry man, just gonna have to suck it up and survive.

MM tries to make matches 50/50 odds of win or lose. Thats a coin flip.

And if you know anything of how probability works, there will be streaks of wins and losses.

Few complain about the wins streaks, mind you.

If you want to face opponents more 'skilled' team drop or leagues is where you want to be.

50 more damage than my best match in a dire. Nice work!

Though I was running 2x gauss, 6ml, 2LL build.

For clans its the LPL cooldown MKII that syncs them up, But I'm not sure for is mechs. you will have to buy it one bit at a time and test it in the testing grounds till you find the right one. I suspect it will be the MKII or MKIII though.

I don't know. Reward system seems too unpredictable. This rewards look a little more adequate. AWS-8Q (laser boat, no PPCs onboard), premium time, 2xXP bonus.

This may not be a popular opinion but what I really got from that video is how powerful the Dire Wolf is. It was some good shooting, for sure. I suppose the right pilot in the right mech in the right situation: You made the most of that semi-mobile gun turret you were driving

Well powerful isn't it: In this game 6 Dire Wolfs take part:
1. 1703dmg 2. 647dmg 3. 516dmg 4. 245dmg 5. 238dmg 6. 59dmg so the avg damage over alle DWFs was 3408/6 = 568 avg dmg

now look into the Rest there are 3 TBRs: 1. 1058dmg 2. 526dmg 3. 188dmg so the avg dmg over all TBRs was 1772/3 = 590 avg dmg || d/w =~7,87 dmg/t

However the most valuable dmg did the SHD-2K since the avg dmg per weight is the highest with 562/55t= ~10,2 dmg/t compared to 7.8dmg/t TBR and 5,68dmg/t for the DWFs.

Just to add up the Rest: SMN 97dmg || damage/weight = ~1,39 dmg/t; CTF-IM 423dmg || d/w = ~5,64 dmg/t; SDR-5D 20dmg and 229dmg - avg =124,5dmg || d/w =~4,15 dmg/t; RVN-3L 166dmg || d/w =~4,74 dmg/t; KFX 44dmg 88dmg and 122dmg - avg = 84,6dmg || d/w =~2,82 dmg/t; JR7-O 327dmg || d/w = ~9,34 dmg/t; AS7-D-DDC 169dmg || d/w = 1,69 dmg/t; CLPT-K2 230dmg || d/w = 3,58 dmg/t; STK-5M 345dmg || d/w = 4,06 dmg/t

Now a ranking of the power classified by weight:
1. SHD 10,2
2. JR7-O 9,34
3. TBR 7,87
4. DWF 5,68
5. CTF IM 5,64
6. RVN 3L 4,74
7. SDR-5D 4,15
8. STK-5M 4,06
9. CLPT-K2 3,58
10. KFX 2,82
11. AS7-DDC 1,69
12. SMN 1,39

Ok it is a very small sample size and therefore it is garbage, but is shows that actually the power on the battlefield was given by other mechs, only one Pilot on each side profit by being the elefant in the room / the TBR pilot in the other team was a kind of elefant in the room too with 1k+ dmg made. While you have a outstanding result for one DWF the rest looks like avg and or deadly wounded within seconds like the 59 dmg 100t mech. Actually by this numbers and a Tonnage limit you would rather bring 2 SHDs than one DWF or rather 6 SHDs vs 4TBR vs 3 DWF beside the pack of 10 Oxides in weight szenario. In the end it is team effort;) And to pull up such numbers just luck.

even with Premium Time it would have been...meh. That shoulda been a Half Million Cbill, 5000 xp match, IMO.

I gotta agree with you Bish. I have done half that damage with Kills and Assists reveresed and I made as much money as DONTOR did. I don't say this often, but in this case, DONTOR was not compensated properly.
