Looks like they tweaked the 'warhorn'. Sounds a litter better now.

Kinda sad they were using normal light mech metas for all the duels instead of at least one with a small engine and a huge gun. But otherwise, looks like it'd be a fun toy!

I'm sure plenty of people will run slow urbies when they are released.

Yeah. But Sean Lang makes these videos, and every featured mech tends to have those meta builds, for better and for worse.

I would really have loved to see an Urbie vs a medium mech or an Urbie vs a Kit Fox or something like that.

no, no, they did it right. Mirror matches are best for showing off mechs.

If they did it vs the Kit Fox, either the Kit Fox comes off looking bad, or the Urbie comes off as bad. Then it just seems like they are lying to us.

Like when the Zues fought the Gargoyle with the crap-tastic loadout. It just looked like they were lying to people about how good or bad the Zues was.

wow this thing has some craaaaazy huge boots on him. Combined with its maxspeed it almost looks it is walking underwater or something like that. It will be brutally easy to leg it.

Um. Is that urbanmech going 106 KPH?

Strange NGNG would show off these speeds instead of the more traditional urbie speeds. The speedometer tape looks kinda silly when the mech is going 100+

I bet we didn't get classic urbie loadouts so we can't guess the quirks

Is Bombadil a bad or are those vids supposed to show Sean winning every time?

They don't want the mech being advertised to look bad, because not as many people buy bad mechs as the number of people that buy not-bad mechs...

which is funny because if they do these mirror matches, they can just fight for real and the urbie would have won.

Well since Bombadil was also playing an Urbie and did it really badly, I'd say it did look pretty bad. They should just play it for real instead of one guy just being trashcan fodder.

The walking animations worry me.

Just like most of the clan mechs, the animation look a bit floaty and the legs have such a long stride too, I hope its legs won't be primary targets because of it.

Otherwise it looks pretty sexy.

The homogenization of formerly unique mechs into one boring cookie cutter mold continues. I can't wait to see NGNG meta-fy the Hollander.

Look awesome.... kinda sad to see all run as "Urbie MetaCheese" except the R6oL Bombadil was in in the end which appeared stock.

That said, Urbies seem to jump decently, and have pretty good agility. While I expect one of mine will end up similar to the 4x SL, UAC build in the video, would have liked to seen more ac10/lbx fun in the video, especially to get a feel for their RoF and any quirks they might have.

mechs not running engines locked into multiples of their tonnage is lore breaking. And in lore, any mech could have nay engine retrofitted.

So while I found the metacheese emphasis less than desirable, the "lore breaking" stuff is pure nonsense, sorry.

"right" is subjective. Mirror Matches are nice, but don't give a feel for where mechs sit in the food change. Also, "right" would have mixed some "stock" or at least "quirk" oriented builds in wit the Meta builds for a real feel.

Agreed, though the rapid fire nature of the MWO ac2 does actually make a lot of sense for a mech like the Urbie. It's kinda like seeing a Light Armor vehicle packing a 40mm Bofors instead of strapping a Rhinemetal 120mm onto a Bradley. (Though the BFG is also part of it's charm, so I don't mind)
