In regards to mechs with sub-250 engines, have you considered giving them a dissipation boost quirk? The Awesome used to have it, but I'm not sure a single mech presently has it.

The 175-195 engine gap (Urbie, Locust, Cute Fox, Myth Lynx) only get 7 TrueDubs, which translates to losing a full TrueDub of dissipation when compared to a FS9 with a 250+engine...or requiring 12 DHS to match the same dissipation, spending 2 more tons to get there.

If someone doesn't want to fix the whole PoorDub to TrueDub issue for sub 250 engines, this could be a free buff in that regard. They'll still have less heat cap, but the dissipation is what really kills it.
Reversed when the issue is properly fixed, but this is (potentially) an easy fix and buff to those poor robots.

would be nice to see Firestarters engines capped at 250 rating, same for ravens.
too fast is too fast. especially for the firepower they have currently.
also, banshee 3S has a rating of 345 the others 400. just make it 350 for all....

redoing some engine caps might be alot easier than fixing some quirks on IS side.

Yeah...two of those Banshees come with a 380 engine stock. The S comes with a 285...95 ratings under it. Because it's a TT robot, it follows TT rules. Likewise, it follows PGIs rule for maximum engine size.

Hey Mike!

I am quite dumbfounded by the Timberwolf D's left arm negative heat generation quirk. Wasn't it because of mechs like the Timberwolf that the overall heat of several clan weapons was raised and didn't that worsen the heat problems for the weaker clan mechs? Now the Twolf gets -5% energy applicable for nearly any build, while supposed buffs for the weaker mechs barely top this OR ARE EVEN LESS? On top of that many weaker clan mechs only get heat quirks for specific weapon families and have to equip multiple pods to get them all.

Heat reduction is the biggest game changer of all the quirks. Can you please look into this and comment?

this is the supposed balance vs the 2E arms. and for the exchange of not havign actuators as the others also have.
But it indeed makes this a bit roblematic, because the usual laservomit, of 4CERML + 2LPL's can work on the TBR D and benefit form those 5%

maybe that 5% heat bnus should only apply to ERPPC's

when things should be balanced for balance sake, not for TT sake then it has to be done.

Since there are not enough updates on the quirks front - I'll just put this here for fun reading material to marinate over.

The patch notes don't contain any quirk changes, seems like another patch without quirk updates?

Too bad! Was looking forward to see the next steps and improvements.

This might be late for whatever future patch, but I might as well mention it.

The MLX-B's left arm (2E) gets better armor buffs than the MLX-C's or MLX-D's right arm (both are 2E).

The difference between 8 pts of bonus armor on the MLX-B's left arm and 16 pts total of bonus armor on the MLX-C/D's right arm is pretty significant.

Also, there's no "difference" between the MLX-C and MLX-D right arm quirks, so it would be nice to make it interesting.

Hey! So iterative quirking seems to have changed! PGI/Mike you guys went all out with 3% changes on Omni-pods, did you forget that clan quirks are like .25-.5 % on a pod? As you said it shows the problems of applying quirks to omni-pods as, well numbers do strange things when added up, I guess?

Still the precedent has been established I look forward to 20% AMS range buffs and 25% increase to Clan MG cone of fire.

Are further iterative quirks ever going to be done and in a useful manner for Clan mechs? PGI history suggest quirks are only applied in significant amounts and then dialed-down, which perhaps explains the skepticism that Clan pilots greeted the whole iterative approach.
