What I'm NOT okay with is the TT rule that sub-250 engines can't fit all 10 sinks on the inside. It doesn't really add anything, and just serves to nerf mechs that are already disadvantaged in some way (usually, mechs with sub-250 engine limits are on the lower end of the light or medium class...).
Just ghost the external sinks to the inside, adjust engine weights accordingly, and we'll be fine. It'll free up a lot of critslots and give a bit of a cooling boost to the afflicted mechs.

actually, I realize I need to put 4 heat sinks instead of 3 tons of ammo of AC20 and a bigger engine!
And, It is not in the core rules!
FupDup is right, It is made to avoid some kind of builts and nerf already week mechs! Dont take only the Urbie, there is a lot of stuff u cand do on the locust and the commando. If you are the assault kind, ok. but some people like challenges.

Firebrand 2x Gauss, 6x ML. Which would be super hot but as a one shot alpha would be deadly as hell. With needing 10 heat sinks your limiting how much stuff you can just cram ballistics wise. AKA if I needed zero heat sinks I could pile on 40 MGs (theoretically)....

I'm kind of mixed on this, on one hand, it works for crit padding, on the other it's just irritating. To slam the engine home, be ready to go, only to remember that I still have to add a few more heatsinks, and alter my load out to match.

also it would result in alot more boats because you have more space for modules that would been used for double heatsinks.

How would you fit any decent level of armor, ammo, or speed on a dual Gauss BJ? Just use a heavy or assault mech that's better for the exact same purpose.

speed is overrated. it was around 40ish. armor was at 272 but i needed all the tons that i wanted to use for ammo for the heatsinks required to run it =(

and there we go - 1 day since the urban mech was launched and people allready start crying cause its a crappy mech ... the requirements for heatsinks are fine and there should not be any exception

Que times.... not so bad right now, with the Urbanmench being out, but it's nice to see the heavy que below 30%....

When you put on dual Gauss and Endo Steel, with 272 armor, you're left with 4 tons to spend on engine and ammo. Not particularly great...
It's pretty clearly obsoleted by heavies and assaults that can do the same thing with more armor and more speed and also backup guns.

But for lights it would be nice, because beyond MGs you really can't put in ACs effectively.
In my opinion this should be possible: http://mwo.smurfy-ne...fa7270f78a0ac1b

A Jagermech wit a STD200 would move at 54.8 kph.
If you want a 54 KPH mech, the most effective choice is the Dire Wolf. Any mech that goes 54.8 kph without being a Dire Wolf is a direct downgrade.

It isn't just about the Urbie... I for one think something like this would be a blast:

But you can't because currently all that ammo would have to be heatsinks...

naa i think the lowest engine is 0.5 tons or so just not tonnage for ammo

ofc its nothing but a pure trollercoaster build but so is a ac20 cicada or ac20 spider^^ its just there because.... you can.

Note that my suggestion for every engine to have 10 internal sinks would require all sub-250 engines to have their weight increased to account for those new heatsinks, because right now their weight was reduced due to external sinks (i.e. an engine with 3 external sinks is 3 tons lighter than its "expected" value).
The net tonnage would be the same in the end, you'd just gain critslots and better cooling (2.0 dubs vs 1.4 dubs).

[Sarcasmn] sure it isn't about the urbanmech - thats why it wasn't mentioned in this topic at all, and thats why there isn't another thread in Featuere Suggestion with the exact same reference ... [Sarcasmn off]
face it - you wanted to have a trashcan and you got one, live with it.
