Can we get rid of the IS drives IS mechs and Clan drives Clan mechs restriction for CW? Many in my unit bought multiple packages, only to find out that if we took a permanent contract, as planned for years, that we couldn't pilot half of our mechs in CW. This is not fair, and tore my unit apart.
As an alternative, what about salvage rights, whereby every 5 levels of loyalty you get in a faction, you can put ANY mech in a dropship slot, so at level 20, you can take any mech in any dropship slot? This will create more incentive for long term faction loyalty to counteract all the perks you currently get for jumping ship every week or two. Migrating mercs rule the day in community warfare when the SHOULD be a minority of players/units in the game. It also puts the community in community warfare, where the factions get stronger and more bonded together. You can also stop having to worry about balancing out clan and IS mechs, which is just silly.
LOL, page 11. No one reads this far.
I saw this question and we don't need Russ to say it when the answer is incredibly obvious:
No, IS pilots will always have to pilot IS mechs and Clans will always have to pilot Clan mechs. If you didn't see this coming even before Clan Wave 1, then you simply don't understand the background for it. IS would never pilot Clan mechs until many years from now, and I don't think MWO will ever reach that part in the timeline because CW is a simulation of the 3050 clan invasion when the IS had no idea what Clans were at first and the Clans had no desire at that point to use outdated IS tech.
So no. Try asking your question again in about three years and maybe something will have changed, but I don't foresee it changing anytime soon.

1.If Solaris becomes a game mode in Community Warfare, any chance you could get George Ledoux to reprise his role as Duncan Fisher from both Mechwarrior 4:Mercenaries and Mechwarrior Living Legends?

I certainly hope we can get him. It just wouldn't be the same without him.
First of all, Solaris probably won't be a game mode in Community Warfare - CW is about warring factions. Solaris is entertainment and has nothing to do with faction warfare. The only thing I can see is that you might be able to dedicate matches to your faction to win LP.
About George Ledoux... he loves the Mechwarrior community and we might have to throw money at him forcefully, otherwise he might insist on doing it for free because he's a nutter and a fantastic human being. I think it's very likely that he will be very present when Solaris comes to MWO, and Paul seems fairly bent on making sure that happens.
