April 21st we're getting the Clan reinforcement mechs for C-bills. Which new variants or omnipods will you be buying?

ADR-B aka the B-ADR: Second ballistic arm.
KFX-C. Left arm with 2B and 2E. You can now have KFX with ECM, 3 energy weapons and 4MGs. Noice.
MLX-A. 2 AMS arm, I guess?
NVA-A. AMS side torso, opens up for triple AMS Nova. Pretty noice, I guess.
SCR-A. 4 E left arm. gglaservomit.
IFR-D. 2E right arm. The Ice Ferret desperately needs energy hardpoints, so that's good.
SMN-C. Same as stock Summoner with some different quirks.
TBR-D. Probably the most popular reinforcement mech. 2M side torsos without jump jets.
MDD-C. Another ballistic arm for the MDD.
DWF-S. Flying Daishi!
WHK-C. CT with energy hardpoint! Desperately needed for the WHK.
GAR-C. 6E right arm. gglaservomitz

For me, it's the Warhawk-C for sure. Dual gauss with 2 ERML backup weapons, all day. I wish I could run a dual gauss Mad Dog, but it's just too weak sauce. The MG Kit Fox seems kinda fun too, maybe with 1LPL and 2 MLs as main armament.

Share the builds you're putting together with the new omnipods.

Let's see:

Adder: Those left torso lasers are superior to the current side torsos because they reduce laser heat.

Summoner: The right arm gives reduced energy heat, which again beats the other currently free arms.

Timberwolf: Left arm with reduced energy heat, which again is the best possible quirk you can have.

Dire Wolf: If I cared about this mech, I'd get this variant because JJs and high hardpoints. But I like being able to get places, so no.

Warhawk: Even though I like this mech, I might actually skip the CT on this one because the arms are more useful for aiming up/down and the torso hardpoint is still just as low mounted. The left arm, however, gives reduced energy heat, which as said before, is the best quirk you can have.

Kit Fox: The left arm will be fun for MG trolling, and not to mention the fact that it has reduced energy and ER laser heat.

Isn't it a funny trend that so many of the giftshop pods give reduced energy heat?

I was under the impression that it was the 27th, my mistake, mutter mutter six less days

Haven't really looked at builds, probably blag one off of Mech specs, but I shall buy the most expensive I can afford and then grind it to buy the next, rinse repeat

I'm gonna pick up a Mad Cat D on my Clan Wolverine alt. I've loved those things since the old CCG.

Flying Whale and WHK-C.

I'll probably buy some omnis from the others, but those are the ones that I feel are worth getting the entire chasis.

What build? UAC5s with SRM torsos? Or you gonna ride it stock, like an original gangster?

The Fridge arm is the best one available, so yes. 5 SPLs sounds nice, or 4 ERMLs on the Prime. A fat Myth Lynx.

As bad as it might be, I want to try a dual LB20x 6 MPL Whale. Just because...I want a fun robot every now and then.

8 SPL LPL Crow also looks tempting to me...WubShee running at 107. It can alpha twice.

I noticed that too and decided that was super lame and would not pay a dime for them....well maybe space bucks (cbills)

PGI thought they were sneaky....

you always could have all that buying their omni pods, whk-c is the only exception i think, 6th e hardpoint on an assault energy boat, finally lol

i may buy kfx-c because i need 2 other versions of kfx anyway and kfx-c has some stored exp since i played it trial

or may be i will not because it's more expensive than kfx-d or kfx-s and exp is easier to get than the price difference

Buying the energy arms of doom from the SCR-A and GAR-C, and the Timbergod's STs.

THough I haven't touched the game for close to 3 weeks, I might as well get some pods for the Clan mechs that I own, namely Direwhale, Timber-God, and Doomcrow. PGI is unlikely to nerf them at this point, so it is a safe purchase.

Ironically, a lot of the CT omnipods are better than ones we already have... which isn't too surprising.

Still, many of the quirks are still bad/underwhelming... unless there's a reason to specialize (Ice Ferret with wub buffs has some usefulness).

It's a hard sell w/o these CT omnipod quirks honestly... because they would be even more worthless than they are.

The Direwolf and Warhawk are sure buys for me though (for C-bills).

Haha, I know! I just thought about that, looking at the price tag for the ability to equip another medium laser on my Gausshawk. 17 million C-bills. That's like several weeks of gaming without buying as much as a flamer. Probably won't have enough money untill mid summer.

I bought a CERPPC module for my Adder instead. 3 million C-bills. Everything I earned this weekend. <sigh>

I'm trying my best to commit and save up to 100,000,000... but I have the sudden urge to master Commandos...
So many XLs... so little cbills...
