In video games you will notice that there are two types of players.
Those tham blames others for there short comings and those that will learn from there short comings.
Some people simply cannot accept that they are **** at the game they have spent countless hours on it.

Real life isn't that nice and nobody will take your hand and carry you through life.
Even if, from a psychological aspect, you're right, the harsh reality is different.
Haven't you heard of the story of that ex-jock who now works by cleaning toilets in the building owned by the nerd he used to bully during high school?

You are not the flag holder here everyone has those days where they are hitting bad team after bad team and get frustrated.
Trash talking because you lost or because you won...dude what are you in your 50's or something how can you not be used to this kind of gaming culture at this point. you are coming off pretty newbie in your perception of gamers. I grew up with this kind of stuff you basically adapt. I do believe you can put people on ignore thats what the feature is their for.

MWO has a steep learning curve in an era where players expect to be insta-good.
Nope! One spawn. Failures will hurt. Welcome to Fight Club. If its your first night, you HAVE to pilot.

We here in modern times, have a very coddling attitude towards each other. No one can say mean thing lest someone's feelings get hurt.
People here on this thread ridicule the rager, it's always their fault right? Except it isn't always. You council understanding of others, yet won't extend that to the rager. People never try to understand WHY that person is mad at you. They could have had a bad day, and it's a steam release or you could have done something to make them mad at you. You might think you haven't, but you may well have blocked them or left them supportless, if you have it is your fault.
If you are experiencing verbal thrown at you most games, it may be a good idea to look at what you are doing-as your behaviour might be triggering it after all.
Peeps here have said it's "never their fault" (the rager) but the same applies to the coddled.
It's never your fault someone is mad at you is it?
I agree I feel socieity has gotten way too sensitive everyone wants to get someone in trouble for no reason other than it makes them feel special. Like for example facebook I cant post an opinion on something without someone trying to skin me alive over it my own relatives have been doing this to the point I finally decided to just black list them from my life since I realize just what kind of people they are when not putting on their mask during family reunions like holiday events. I realize just how bigoted and worthless they are as a member since for example one of them posted what color is anger too you? I made a stupid comment saying blue because guy with ********** is someone to be feared he will kill to get that *****. I apparantly opened a huge can of worms with 3 of the kids on one side the 17 year old telling me I'm disgusting, her sister trying to be my mom and putting me in my place and their brother telling me ever say anything like that again because she is 17 "which I forgot" will give me a black eye" All over a dirty joke thats been said forever now and in fact his response gives it some credit. Teenagers these days especially women have no...balls for anything anymore too coddled and protected from everything...**** I been looking at porn since I was 10 years old I've never had a sexual joke cause me any discomfort to the point I would treat them with hostile attitude.
Instead of being reasonable and going well it's not that big of a deal just dont post a dirty joke like that again they go on the attack against their own family member they turn into snarly dogs over nothing thats whats happening with society anymore you cant say anything someone else will be offended about even your own family wont have your back. My response was sorry about that but I'm not gonna be speaking to you guys again now that I know how little you really think about me. I've always been nice to these kids and now one stupid insensitive comment they show their true colors.
My point is just ignore them and move on. Hell troll them if they cant get over it go around in circles and do nothing for like half the match and then just quit out if after you actually tried to do well but had a bad round your aiming hand getting sore or something and just cant land those lucky shots then screw them. You likely paid money to play the game like most of us, your entitled to at least a few bad matches once in a while.

I spend alot of my time being frustrated-in-denial, however, as that's the current state of affairs: a glorified B.S. contest.

I played Tribes in the mid-late 90s (whenever the hell that game was out) and some people made the exact same kinds of comments as some people do now in this and every other team based online game.
Some people are just immature ass-hats who can't take responsiblity for themselves and blame the rest of the world for all their problems.
Is there some legitimately bad play? Sure. Is that an excuse to be an ass-hat? No.
Moving on.

He says: "Why do i always end up with the noob team?" or he just starts cursing and insulting everyone.
Then he either continues to rant or leaves before anyone can even respond.
I'm going to speak my mind about this and i don't care how much i'm hounded/ridiculed/hated for it.
For those that don't go around saying foul things to your teammates: You don't need to read all this.
A lot of people will say i'm some naive blue eyed hyper religious guy who is possibly into other men as well as reading the bible three times a day.
Those that think so please click the spoiler button.
The internet allows us anonymity and we often blow our tops to let out steam.
I get that, but there are limits.
Anyone who has cursed his teammates needs to ask themselves some serious questions.
These questions are
Would you say such foul words to a team you play sports with in public in front of your family?
We have all seen the word noob being used often. But we also see stuff that's far over the line.
We see players making assumptions about other players sexual preferances for example.
Am i saying these situations are real?
No. It's just supposed to make you understand how serious things could be if they were real.
To you this sounds like it would never happen. Never. Your friends are not like that.
Your family members are most certainly not like that.
Guess what? Things do not become the way you say it has to be just because you said so.
This is also kind of my decleration that i will keep my chat turned off in future games.
Furthermore i won't post nor read anything more in this thread.
So i won't know nor respond to anything you might say whether it's meant to support, ridicule or curse me.
Whether it's ingame or right here in this thread. PM's with....foul content will be reported to support.
Now i'm glad i have that option....to just tune everyone out and enjoy the game.
Because that's what MWO is. It is a game which you're meant to enjoy.
Losing a match is not the end of the world.
If losing a match means so much to you that you need to throw curses at everybody around you-
-Then i'm seriously worried about your mental health. I'm completly utterly serious here.
No joking. I really am worried.
Wear a blanket when you are playing it will keep you warm, watch the HBO documentary 'Going Clear', reboot and try again, remember L Ron created science and fiction, you'll be fine

Then again we see players causing their own deaths by being stupid and blaming their team for it... Hey you cannot cure stupidity.

Gits
1. A completely ignorant, childish person with no manners.
2. A person who feels justified in their callow behavior.
3. A person who thinks it's totally cool to act like a moron on the internet, only because no one can actually reach through the screen and punch their lights out.
"That n00b is behaving like a bloody git."
Novakaine personally likes # 3.
On a side note most of you guys rock and a pleasure to play with
Some of the rest not so much.

While I agree with you, it is important to have a balance... alas, we do not. We lean on the oversensitive side of the barrel-- at least here in the (northeastern) USA
Did you know that NJ has anti-bullying laws? It's ridiculous; Not even physical bullying, petty stuff like, "You're fat."
This is coming from the fat kid.
But I fear of derailing the thread, and will end this here.

If your a "play for fun" person, then you need to be down in teh scrub Q with the other "play for fun" people.
...
Dont yell at the guy yelling about fail teams....its probably more the teams fault.
Perhaps this is a thing for people at really high ELO levels (I'm not there) but this isn't a phenomenon I see. To be clear: I'm not saying I'm never involved in a 12-0 or 12-1 drubbing (on either side) -- it happens, and every so often it happens a couple of times in a row. But streaks are part of random behaviour. I certainly don't see it happening to ME to the extent that I find it particularly distressing.
re: "play for fun people". Actually, if you're a "play for serious" person, then YOU have some limited ability to put yourself in with likeminded folks: you can join/play with a unit, you can play in the group queue (where standards are generally higher), you can play in CW. "Play for fun" people can't do much more than play wherever they can and try to get better. PS: calling people less skilled than you "scrubs" generally doesn't inspire them to to much more than think badly of you.

You know, a lot of nerdrage gets attributed to "the kids" but I'm not so sure. I'm increasingly convinced that there are plenty of 20something, 30something and older people who can't keep a civil tongue (or fingers).

Sure, reality can be pretty tough, but in 20 years of working as an adult, I've never had a boss or colleague call me a "************* useless sack of ****" (really hoping the profanity filter catches that) and I know fine and well that if they did, I'd have a very legitimate complaint to make. And it's not 'cos I'm Mr. Perfect at work
