Everybody. Please saying the Atlas needs fixed. It don't. I will take them against any other Mech in the game. The only fail point the Atlas has is the pilot.

THAT INCLUDES MYSELF!

But it's quoted to be a "Titan". What Good is a "Titan" of a mech if it can get massacred in a few volleys of dual Gauss, Lasers, Lrms and More?

That would be my nr. 8. HGN-HM (and to a lesser extent the others) :)

The HM is middle of the road as far as HGNs go, IMO, the 733 is the weakest, 733P hasn't been used at all since ghost heat was added (only 4 energy hard points, which screams heavy weapons, but heavy weapons all have ghost heat). 733C and 732 are "okay", but all of them need help.

Except the 3 Large Lasers now....

Man, what about the CTF-4X, the one with 4 ballistic hardpoints? That thing is trash since 4+ ballistic hardpoint assaults hit the field. In fact all the CTF's have quirks that would have been appropriate about a year ago.

Disagree with the OP's placement of the Atlas. It's not the best mech on the field but it's still good - there are many other mechs that should have taken that spot.

What really kills the 4X is that you can be faster, more survivable (better XL hitboxes), and have more firepower with a Dragon or Wolverine.

Not only can you match its DPS with a 55 tonner, but if you take 4 ac/5s then you go like 53 kph and any given Dire Wolf or King Crab laughs its face off while it blows you away with equal or greater DPS.

It'd be good if they gave some of the Cataphracts a speed boost.

That's my list in no order.

I do whole models, not individual chassis. With that in mind:

Highlander
Victor
Summoner

These are the three I feel that are in most dire need or revamping. The Gargles is not an efficient mech, but it has more merit to it than these three, and they are already moving in the right direction with the quirks (still needs more moving in that direction).

I think some people are forgetting that float jets, not quirks or geometry, are the reason for these mechs sucking so hard. If jump jets ever become what they should be then I think we can see where they are.

Also applicable...70 ton mech size.

I only saw the big mechs mentioned. We need the Trenchbuckets size cut that of a normal medium mech.
Right now it's about the size of an Orion which is 25 tonns heavier.

The light mechs hitboxes could use some work too but almost the entire line of medium mechs needs to be worked on.
They are just too big.

Good point. It should go 95kph with Speed Tweak, not 89.1.

Timber Wolf, Summoner, Dragon, most 60 tonners, anything that goes 81 stock in MWO would go 86 instead.

Anything that goes 48 would go 54 instead.

The chain just keeps going.

The power differences between each engine would be kinda wonky yet perfectly fine, if engines went with tabletop sizes (35 ton mech? Minimum engine size 35*2 = 70, and every increase in engine is 35 more.) (80 ton mech? Minimum engine size is 80*2 = 160, and every increase in engine is 80 more. For 100 ton assault mechs this means the minimum engine is 200, the maximum is 400, and the only go between is 300. Really keeps boat designs down a bit, though not completely.)

To paraphrase quote Lordred who said this while making it a point to stick to TT-only engine sizes and using one of several Battlemasters he designed... "I'm finding myself making weapon choices in MWO that before I never would have even considered, to a much greater effectiveness than I imagined I could."

Far as where the rounding went.. Tabletop/Sarna/Battletech/Fasa did the rounding. Creates a bit of diversity and play, so you could say in theory that some might accelerate slower or faster or go a little more or slightly less than 5*30 meters without having to say it went "4.7*30 meters and in 3 turns it'll need to lose 1 hex".

The speeds Sarna lists uses the speed equation that assumes all mechs have identical acceleration and speed for their hex movement per 10 seconds.

PGI made the engine to output ratio a strictly linear path.
