Highlanders are crap mechs and will stay that way so long as PGI allows laser boating. Balanced loadout mechs that require missiles to have respectable alphas are just fodder in a game where a 55 tonner can run a 50+ alpha that all goes to one location. Add torso hitboxes the size of a house (esp the CT) and you last only as long as no one notices you, once they do your a quick kill for any meta mech no matter the weight class.

I wouldn't buy a 732B. The current 732 is fantastic. This build does very well for me. I dont think I would want to sacrifice a SRM for a little extra speed.

I've been thinking about this but Heavy Metal already has 2B and 3E so I don't agree if 732b would have similar hardpoints by adding a single ballistic hardpoint, moreover if the dual ballistic hardpoints aren't in the same place! It would straight obsolete the other variants because of the ability to mount dual Gauss.

733P has 4E and 3M so 732b could have 1B 4E 2M and be somewhat different. The question is, where would we like to place the 4th energy hardpoint? If 732b *doesn't have* a lower arm actuator, I'd like very much that they put the energy hardpoint on the right arm so the RA could have 1B and 1E then you can put the AC10 or Gauss + (ER)PPC combo on the same arm (RA). But this treatment will ake the 733C less unique.

BTW I still think my original suggestion to be the most fitting because it doesn't introduce a noticable power creep.

The extra energy in the 732b would have to be in the right torso. Inflation ONLY occurs at hardpoints that legitimately have the originating hardpoints (find an example of a mech that didn't have such hardpoint inflation - excluding the hero mechs where PGI has made up their own hardpoints on them to some of them).

It'll be like the 12 clan mech "reinforcements". Gift shop first.

A long wait (aka ????? ).

Then it'll be available for C-bills and MC at the same time (not available in the gift shop later on).

None of this will be immediately available for C-bills... as this was the precedence.

What surprises me is Russ asked for a Heavy with ECM. Guess what? There are no heavies in this batch of new `Mechs.

2 Lights, 1 Clan Heavy, 3 Assaults, and 4 Mediums.

I know this, the Thunderbolt 7SE variant will fit this requirement.

1 Gauss Rifle - RA
1 ECM - CT
3 Med. Pulse Laser - LT
1 Med. Pulse Laser - LA

Seriously, it can counter the Hellbringer.

Figures. Oh well. I can wait a few weeks or months for a Magic Jesus Box on my Griffin. How long did it take before the Clan reinforcements were available for C-bills? 2-3 months?

I can certainly wait for the Magic Jesus Box powered Griffin.

While it makes the 3M kinda obsolete, but it makes grinding one of the variants less painful (probably the Phoenix variant)...

Eh, the 3M cicada is nice because of it's speed and small size since it is basically a bigger light. I don't see that many anyway.

I meant the Griffin-3M. The Cicada-3M does have a niche regardless.

Ohh, well the 3M is just a nice all-around mech. I don't think it will be less used, but I would expect the 1N and the 1S to be used significantly less.

If you have the 3M, Sparky and the upcoming 2N then you don't need the other two at all.

Edit: So it has more armor than the other HGNs have structure in the torsos...

I still wish it had 4 E and 1 B instead of 3 E and 2 B.
