- Spawn camps happen because of flawed map & game objective design.
- What faction you are doesn't mean squat.
- Consumable Warrior Online needs to die. Give us Arrow IVs & Long times, remove all strikes, get rid of UAVs, and change ECM to the way it was in MW:4 - boom, all intent and purpose to consumables removed while adding more fun and versatility to the game.
- Clan mechs and IS mechs compare roughly evenly. CERMLs and Streaks need some nerfing, clan ballistics need buffing, all the IS weapons are pretty damn balanced, PPC velocities affect both clan & IS.
- Many IS mechs can use just as many weapons as - and sometimes more than - their same-tonnage Clan equivalents.
Terrible poll is terrible.
Lame troll is lame.
1/100 rating.

"Watching Clan Pilots use 30 weapons and cry about heat."
This makes me tear up from laughing so hard. While individual weapons compare favorably, the way omnipods essentially get abused is what makes the difference. Why do clanners cry about the Gargoyle? Because even the best mix of omnipods offers the same number of hardpoints that a "decent" IS mech has. Now that I think of it, I don't think I've ever seen a Gargoyle shut down from heat.
Then there's the fact how 2-slot c-DHS's get shoveled into every clan build by the dozens (literally).

I'd upvote that one. You have to *try* to screw up a clan mech, like build a 8-foot ladder out of jello sort of try.

Except when the IS pilot does make use of a quirked mech that can stand on equal ground to its clan equivalent, the clanners cry and scream for nerfs to that quirked IS mech.......9S and 4N for example.

I nor any one I play with has ever cried about the effectiveness of the Stalker or the Dragon. The Dragon surprised me I'll admit, but I don't mind it. What I DO mind is when the Thunderbolt was broken and that the firestarter is STILL a broken POS.

Try playing the Summoner or Adder some time.
Try playing the Quickdraw/Jenner/Commando/Locust/Orion/Awesome/Vindicator/Blackjack/Trebuchet/Kintaro/Catapult/Victor/Zeus/Grasshopper/Highlander/Banshee/at least 2 of the variants of every other IS mech other than the 'optimal' one some time.
You've got the 3 best mechs in the game and, coincidentally, you can take all 3 to fill all 4 slots in your CW drop deck so that literally you've got nothing but the best mechs available to play in MW:O, especially for CW, in your deck every match. At least until the new omnipods for them come out, making them even better.
Oh, wait, but you've got 2 or 3 bad chassis in your lineup. Given that your good chassis are not all locked to 1 or 2 loadouts but can in fact be configured to fill any role you want and do it better than anything else I'd say that's not a terrible tradeoff.

In other news I chose "IS started winning, so I retreat to public" because it is funny.
It should be "public/boards" though.

Quickdraw's easy. SRM/ML brawler, LL/ML laser barf, and jumpjets galore. Works great. If not for the Grasshopper, I'd actually have picked these up because of the JJ/PPC capability.
Jenners also work just fine. Ask Yokilin, he's always playing and most of the time it's in his Jenners.
Commando? Okay, but it's only 25 tons. It does okay for being only 25 tons.
Locusts? For 20 tons they're doing great, and the 1E is just stupidly OP (for a 20 tonner).
Orion?...No, okay, the Orions are kinda lame ducks. The LBX one has a wickedly fast cooldown though. They can make very mean brawlers, though that usually also means the risk of XL engine.
Awesome? They're fine. I have the 9M now, and I love it. I don't really get what's so bad about the things, I have played the other variants too. They apparently make good LRM platforms too (if you know what being an actually good LRM platform means, that is).
Vindicator? Lots of jumpjets & ballistics or PPCs. If you can't figure those out, I can't help you.
Blackjack? The 3 is amazing even when it comes stock-as is (though I stuck an XL225 in it). The AC-2 versions are pretty deadly, and the ML version has a pretty mean "metabarf" role as well. For 45 tons they're swinging well above their weight.
Trebuchet? Meh. Missiles. They're pretty much Kintaro clones, if you ask me. If you like missiles, they work fine. If you like going fast and being a menace to light mechs with lots of streaks and medium lasers, they work great.
Catapults? Work great. They worked great before quirks. They work better after quirks. Haven't once regretted buying my founder's Catapult.
Victor?...Okay, they need some love again, the amount of hate they got for the pop-tart era (which I missed) doesn't seem very deserved.
Zeus? They're doing fine. They're not amazing, but they're sturdy and mean enough to mean something. Especially when they go as fast as some heavies or mediums do.
Grasshopper? Also doing fine. It's jumpjets and it's tall with high-mounted laser hardpoints. Again if you can't figure this one out, I can't help you.
Highlander?...Ehhhh. It could use a little love. Swings a little under-par for a 95 tonner, but not by much. Fixing jumpjets would help. There's a few Davy Crockett pilots running around in these things.
Banshee? Dude, really? Have you seen how many people are running the LPL/AC/5 meta in these things? They're monsters. Even the trial 6xLPL Banshee is easy to wreck with if you just pay attention to weapon groups and heat, and that build isn't even really working with the quirks properly. The only problem Banshees have is having few-to-no arm mounted hardpoints. They really are the fridgerators of doom.
I'm surprised you didn't mention the Dragon, honestly; aside from the stupidly broken 1N the other variants do struggle a little. (I think the hero mechs are OK though.)
Just because I'm in a clan faction doesn't mean I don't own a whole cornucopia of IS mechs, or am unfamiliar with how they perform.

I mean we can´t crown you to Khan of Clan Teary Crocodile yet, because, I am sure you will agree,
"splatcat = splatcrow" is pretty hard to beat, but the race is on. You are on a good way. I believe in you.

When you bring lurms against a good team, you've already lost before you dropped. Think before reaching for that lurmdog, lurmber or even worse, lurmcrow.

I can't maintain the required level of sarcasm to make a full post so I'm going to bow out of this one. Nobody can compete with someone saying the qd, grasshopper, etc are really viable/competitive mechs.
A summoner is terribad and it's still better than a qd or a onion. The adder is bad but still better than a Jenner or panther.
Some people can make terrible mechs work okay. That is fine. It doesn't make the mechs good.

I didn't say splatcat = splatcrow above, did I? When I said "catapult" I was referring to the usual LRM15+ML build, or the K2.
As for "splatcrow" being better than IS mechs, check this out:
Splatcrow build: http://mwo.smurfy-ne...c877e221d84189c
Splat-Trebuchet(50 tons): http://mwo.smurfy-ne...c877e221d84189c Same speed, same ammo, almost same damage, though I had to sacrifice the Artemis because of the 5 ton difference.
Splat-Griffin(55 tons) http://mwo.smurfy-ne...60adf2b0d64068e
Again, nigh-identical speed, less ammo because 2 less launchers, yet about same damage capacity & it has a shield arm.
Splat-Kintaro: http://mwo.smurfy-ne...085a23caaaa3854
Same speed as Griffin, bit less ammo and damage, far better heat management & accuracy.
And this is just with mechs that are the same, or even less, tonnage than the Stormcrow.
Here's a splatcat, too: http://mwo.smurfy-ne...60c72d648d53796
It's slower (10 tons heavier), yet has quite a bit more damage both in maximum DPS & sustained DPS.
CERMLs and Streak6s are OP, not the Stormcrow.

Some people can make terrible mechs work okay. That is fine. It doesn't make the mechs good.
Then why is it I see competitive teams using those exact mechs? Why are they (and I) able to figure out how those mechs work and you are not? Why is it you aren't able to carry this argument and I am?
The Summoner is pretty comparable to the Quickdraw. The Onion, not so much, because it can't jump and can carry more weapons than the Summoner can. XL engines are a thing....
I'm willing to bet you actually haven't used, or mastered, those mechs, and don't actually have a valid opinion.
Or if I were to follow the ilk of NKVA, I'd say you're just bad and need to get better. I'm actually going to stick with my former theory though.
Spend some time actually running the numbers. The gap is not nearly as inflated as you & others on this forum make it out to be. (And imagine each time you do run numbers what would happen if CERMLs or Streak6s had nerfs applied.)
