Meh. IMO it's still not enough to offset how ridiculously good and game changing that side torso is.

That's it? lol, that won't do **** to affect what the mechs will be used for with those hardpoints.

Don't lie, you'll be ridgepoking like crazy with it the day it's released.

The TBR-A doesn't even have penalties to heat generation. Who cares about a .1s longer duration and slower reverse speed?

Poor Highlanders.....I still have one. He is Oh so lonely.

TBR-A is a beast WITH one leg and the shoe on that foot untied...it needed a little hit with Pauls Bat.

Oh mai the conflicting opinions.

Too much! It's useless!

That's it? Not nearly enough!

Yeah, it needed this.

Does that mean..... they did it right?

Still a beastly pod. I wasn't ever going to buy these Mechs for cash, so the quirks don't affect me, but seriously the Timberwolf A-LT should have snipers drooling.

The movement quirks are meaningless. Oh drat, I can only back up at 36kph instead of 40kph! I'm doomed!!!

The other two are significant, but don't really affect the use for which that pod is going to excel. If you're hill humping/sniping, an extra 0.4 seconds of cooldown isn't a big deal. And frankly, neither is an extra 0.1 seconds of duration. What those will do is affect your ability to brawl, but even that's fairly minor. 20% of either would have been far more effective than 10% of both.

The Stormcrow B's right arm is the one you'd have to think carefully about. 7.5% extra heat is no joke on a Mech that generally already runs hot, and will run even hotter with a 6E arm even without the quirk. Might make an interesting brawling arm added to an LRM build, though.

The garden hose ERLL sucked bad enough the 1st time.....I do not want to pay for what I disliked before and hear bitchin betty constantly whining while I use it. I am proof you are losing sales. I'm sure all these IS faction players will shore up the loss of profit by purchasing this mech.

I'll take high weapon mounts any day of the week, despite the limiting quirks. Peekability is one factor that trumps just about anything, in both CW and the Pub queues.

IMHO, that was the one thing holding the MadCat back - that it had to expose a comparatively large portion of it's silhouette to unload all it's vomit.

I'll be buying it. Mad not to.

Doesn't peak that well with those negative movement quirks, and there isn't much you can carry beyond the standard last vomit.

Unless you really want to boat smalls.

The hardpoint is worth it even with the negative quirks. I don't even have to prove that I am right, cause you will be seeing the shoulder energy pod spammed on TWs soon.

The movement quirks probably won't make much difference with that huge engine. It'll still likely peek far better than a Stalker, and there's JJ's also. I'll still be using the standard vomit, but it will be better vomit. High lasers, all clustered together for better convergence? YES PLEASE. Proper shield side? Heck yes. Asymmetry FTW.

At least for me anyway. I love high weapon mounts.

Damn, and just when I was trying not to spend money.

Seriously, the TW-A is going to be a pretty good platform. Laser vomit, sniping. Can you imagine putting 2 ER-PPCs in that torso and med lasers (pulse or ER) in the arms instead? That's a sniper TW. Or 3 ER-PPCs in the torso, and small lasers in the remaining slots. I can think of a few other interesting was to build it also, either as a ridge hopper / sniper or as a brawler. Especially if you start mixing Omni pods.

Good reason.

Again, it can barely cool two lpls, much less all for ermlas on a the standard last vomit, putting all of your eggs in one basket and slowing out down is not a buff.

Worth it? LOL! Ya go ahead please buy it so when I see you on the field and you "attempt" that first poke and I shoot your pod clean off then what are you going to do?? And what were you planning on mounting in there? ERL, LPL, ERPPC? Or is there some new god weapon the Clan are getting?? No, gee, so it no better than the TW's we have right now? Sure, your right go ahead and spend your money cause I really enjoy laughing at dumb people........

Thunderbolts and Stalkers are not Timber Wolves. BEFORE this omnipod the Timber Wolf was an overall, better mech. It is unbelievable that you guys think that this omni-pod would be balanced as is.

And if the IS stomps the clans (even though the clans won 53% of the time during the last event??) its not because our mechs are OP ;)

I detect a large number of people that underestimate peeking power. Yet strangely a number of them whine about the stalker, which is good entirely because it's got awesome peeking hardpoints.

When a Stalker runs 90 kph and is as agile as a Timber Wolf, we can compare them 1 to 1.

When a TW cockpit sits on top of the mech so you do not still have to expose half the mech to shoot anyway...you can compare the peeking skills 1 to 1.

As it stands, the STK is still going to be THE premier hill peeking mech.

When a Timber has the sustained firepower as a -4N we can talk.

Speed is all Timber has going for it if you don't ghost heat yourself with the Stalker.

So... a Stalker can stare you down and out DPS you, while a Timber Wolf can alpha and then spread damage and then alpha again? Hmmmm....... maybe you guys are playing to much stare-down warrior.

Okay, the Stalker gets 4 LLs over the top. Cool. That is one situation it has the advantage.
