And I must say..literally doubling the armor on the Nova's arms as a "quirk"? Not saying it doesn't need it (because poor scaling and modeling says it does), but Quirks already have become too much a crutch on IS mechs. Now Quirks are going from nonexistent to over the top on Clan. Seems to me like it's time to hit reset, determine just what the heck the point of quirks are supposed to be, and start over. The idea of quirks was to make non performers be more competitive. But more and more, quirks are starting to define each chassis, and the players are lapping it like junkies swapping Black Tar off the floor.

Power Creep Cold War is on the way.

No upgrade over what we have with the C, debatably otherwise, the C can mount 5 er-mlas as it stands, but you WANT the arms for a brawler that is where the precision comes from.

It's not a nerf...
You trade a TINY NEGLIGIBLE AMOUNT of accel/decel, duration, and cooldown, for some of the highest poking hardpoints in the game. This is one of the, if not the best mech in the game hands down.

Dual PPC gauss only needs 30 shots.

I'd rather sacrifice my arms altogether in my brawlers for zombieing. A lot of my thunderbolts run purely what's in CT/STs. My TDR-9SE does triple LPL or dual LPL + dual ASRMs.

Timbers fall like any other mech... its just more punishing if you play lazy against one.
High mounts are an advantage... but not a massive one. Massive advantage is when the good hardpoints and cockpit are BOTH high up. It has its negative agility quirks (probably more coming even)


Granted, timbers are very capable mechs but remember that clan-tech in MWO is a bad joke right now... only because the most iconic clan mech in BT happens to be a very good one.
A lot of elite pilots wanted to pilot an iconic mech... Therefore: Elite pilot + Good Mech = salt... ultimately leading to all these clams OP whines.

Excuse me, but please go back and read my post. Like actually the whole thing, not cherry picking some lines. I said that this new LT is awesome, that clan mechs are not overpowered, and that any negative quirks are worth it for the high energy hardpoints.

I never complained that this is OP OMG CLANZ PLS NERF, I made fun of the guy who started this thread for whining about something that's actually really awesome.

I have to respectfully disagree on this topic. I've decided to purchase one myself.

I've never seen such great potential for the Clans to counter the hill-peeking stalker than now. Hard point placement is key to what is going to make this guy our secret weapon. We should be encouraging our h-core comrades to purchase this bad boy. Negative cooldown and increased laser duration is irrelevant, as I will be donning 3x C-LPL in that left hump, potentially even ER PPCs. Alternatively, maybe just leave the medium pulse lasers where they are, and substitute a TBR-D right torso omnipod for more streaks. I think this mech has real potential to restore the Clans' presence in ComWar.

I've got a GRF-2N and a new Locust with silly 50% range increase to it's lasers to buy tomorrow. Until the Summoner sees some real well thought out quirks, don't see any point playing my Clan Acct. TBRs and SCRs bore me they are such easy mode.

I'm not saying you are wrong for shelling out cash for better equipment, but this post symbolizes all that is wrong with this game. Between evident power creep and the paywalling of said power creep (regardless of whether it is temporary or not) it is a sad problem that remains and accentuated with the latest gift store options.

The Timber Wolf A will give rise to the new poke Timber Wolf as well as make current ones even more powerful (2 LPL Gauss Timby Im looking at you). The new SCrow pod pales in comparison to the power of the high energy mounts of the A's LT.

YES! My StormCrow especially makes me feel guilty... Although, I also find the MetaDire to be a perfect goto mech if i'm having a bad night.
