too bad that the ony effort required here is time
reaching 80 points in a normal match is just dead easy, maybe reaching 80 while being fully stomped might prove "difficult"...

The $9.20 mech is a big reward for what is realistically 30 hours of grinding in game?
Really? So you don't gain anything else for those 30 hours?
You are complaining that you are getting rewarded for playing a game. The reward for me would be that I got to play for 30 hours to be honest.

I however will drop with the OLDS. If there are not enough OLDS I will drop with the those on the FRR hub.
I will play and have fun fighting. If I do not get 50 so be it.
I will still have fun playing the game mode that keeps me playing this game. And if I get a few rewards along the way even better

BUT !!!
50 games alone in CW means about 25 hours playing, and that without wait times. Not to mention that quite a number of people won't be able to score 80 points in each game. Tukkayid was the biggest and longest battle in the known universe, so make it big (ok, 63 drop zones is that) but also LONG ... why don't you make it last one week (or 10 days) and thus give average players (or more exact, players with a family life) an opportunity to enjoy this event to its fullest too?
the 'real' Tukkayid took longer than 3 days... far longer .. about 2 or 3 weeks if I remember right?
and let me quote here from the MWO game home page

What is the timeline of MechWarrior Online?
The game is set in a 1:1 timeline with the BattleTech universe, meaning that the current year 2014 equates to 3051 in BattleTech lore and each day that passes in real life also passes in the game. This means we are on the brink of the upcoming Clan invasion and utilizing the latest in technology available in the 3049 timeframe

Typically the weekend events start at 8PM Finnish time, allowing some matches to be played during friday evening, this time the event starts at 1AM, which basically means that Europeans don't get to play on Friday at all. Considering that playing 50 matches takes a lot of time, having to do it in 2 evenings instead of 3 is pretty off-putting.

I get we aren't really doing a 1 to 1 anymore, but I definetly agrre with you Crispy and would love to see this event take place over a greater period. If anything it would allow more of the current players to at least get the award for taking part in this historic event.

I hear you and agree i think the timing is bad for non NA players regarding friday. This whole event seems bit ill prepared for what it should be, CW is in beta but comon PGI, little more forethought had gone far here. Giving notification 6days before the event for many who consider should be kind of pinnacle of CW, the actual details coming up slightly more than 24 hours of the given starting time.
I've already heard several people being diverting from the event cause their simply isnt enough time to react to make the proper arrangements to take part no matter how much they would like to try it out. The 20+ hours requirement less in than 3 days for the prices is pretty silly, the prices themselves are fine but the grinding time for so many CW matches is too short. I Wish you had thought this more thoroughly cause this could have been excellent point to reintroduce the CW for people.
