This is a thread to gauge the community's reaction to Tukayyid.

Personally speaking, I'm not liking it one bit. I was super excited when it was initially announced, but, now that it's here, I'm realizing just how many problems it's causing. the high volume of players in the CW queues makes it difficult to find matches in the normal queues. On top of that, when you do play CW, it similarly takes far too long to find a match because of the imbalance of players between the Clans and IS. I played three hours tonight and was only able to drop in two CW matches, and only then because I was able to get into a 12-Man premade.

Next to that, I discovered that many of the same glitches that plagued CW over a month ago, and drove me to quit CW and return to the normal queues, are still present. I am still respawning in a fresh Mech, but with a countdown timer that never ends (it just resets every time it hits zero). The incredible lag and warp is still present throughout the map, and especially near the big gun. It's incredibly frustrating.

So, all that being said, I think I'm going to take a break from MWO until Tukayyid ends and things go back to normal.

Just fyi, I approve of Tukayyid in concept, but am disappointed with the execution of it. I really think that PGI needs to fix the glitches in its game before it starts trying to build anything else on an already shaky foundation.

Now it's your turn! Are you liking Tukayyid and enjoying? Or are you disliking it? What are your reasons? Let the Devs hear your feedback!

Edit: Please be aware that I will be enforcing the CoC to the best of my ability on my thread. I ask that everyone who participates be civil and refrain from using profanity. In short, be mature; I want this to be a serious thread with serious discussions. If you can't do that, I will ask you to leave. Anyone who does not abide by these simple and reasonable requests of mine which are in accordance with the CoC, will be reported.

I've done about 10 drops in it so far. Have been doing a match here and a match there during my day.

Aside from the initial disconnect issue yesterday it has been a fun event for me just soloing and hacking it with the people I drop with. I thought about it some and I have to say that this event has made CW somewhat more enjoyable. My interest in the game mode is limited without a larger goal or reason, and the extra winnings are nice. I actually have some interest in seeing the battle outcome. I am not playing for points they just seem to come from playing so really my main interest is taking part in this event. Plus c'mon, the Tukayyid forum battle has been just as entertaining to watch as well.

My only negative would be that they should have had such a major and popular battle as an event when CW was already finalized not in beta. I feel a battle on this scale would have been better with a more thought out and finished game mode.

That's just my perspective, and I hope they keep coming up with ways to draw more players into CW. It's kind of dull otherwise.

Got my banner now I'm done.

Clan wait times probably don't compare to IS wait times but they still suck.

Getting put against a premade and getting slaughtered earning less than 80 points is hard

80 points is like 600 damage and 10 assists....how people do not reach that is beyond me

When you get spawn camped after the initial wave pushes onto your DZ its kinda hard to do anything but die in quick fashion.

14 insta-drops, 14 wins, quick stomps.
I had fun facing three 12-premade.

...but men.... the other 11 matches, people, mostly pugs, has no idea how to play.
I saw a loooooot of unintelligible and puzzling builds, incomprenhensible behaviours.

I hope after this event many pilots will consider entering or forming a unit.

Event sucks the D!
Was super excited at first, after I saw the wait time I just wanted to quit before I even started...
You learn from your mistakes, so hopefully this doesn't happen again... instead of 50 points it should be like 25... (it still could be just change it, this is painful!!!)

Rewards should have been easier to get. Either less points required or allowing players to earn multiple Event Points from doing good. Sick of pulling 200+ matchscore and getting the same amount of points as some guy who was AFK half the match

Seems fine. Maybe join the side that needs more players instead of complaining about being on the side with too many players.

I'd like to know who has more fun with this event.

The IS pugs, getting pushed back in the queue by 12 mans, thus waiting for 30 minutes or more to get a game.
The Clan pugs, who constantly have to face the IS 12 mans who bypass the queue and get served first.

I mean, i honestly don't care. If CW would kneel over and die tomorrow, i wouldn't cry over it. But i can imagine this broken, mind-boggingly screwed event will do long term damage to CW in general.

32 teams in IS queue, one team of 12 clan pugs enters the queue, IS 12 man instantly gets matched, IS pugs have to wait, clan pugs get curbstomped.
Now as i said, i really don't care. I will get 80 points every single game no matter how hard i get stomped, because it's not terribly hard to do. But on average i see atleast 6 clan pugs failing to get their 80 points when getting stomped by a 12man. And those poor guys are aiming for 40 points. I can imagine they will never touch CW again after this.

Well. That is easy. If you team is not even able to kill 10 enemy mechs it is really hard to get the 80 points.

If the defender can camp the spawn of the attacker it is really hard to get the 80 points.

If you get alpha striked down each time you are able to see the enemies, it is hard to get the 80 points.

Should I go on?
Reason for this? 12 premade vs 12 pug. It is so much fun...

The Tukkayid event has seriously made me consider quitting MWO altogether.

I feel ashamed I bought the Resistance pack.

while i don't have near the issue with the que.. I don't see the fun in playing 4 of the exact same mech with the only real difference being the letter behind it's name... every stormcrowe fielded has the same omni-pods attached . the exact same hardpoints (with maybe an exception of what may be n the CT or head).. same engine.. pretty much everything.. clans are pretty boring and repetitive

Stormcrow? I use four different mechs... gauss 5 ml TBR, 2 LP 4 ML TBR, 4 ERLL HBR, and $ ML mist lynx. No more bopring than running a Stalker, 2 TDR and a whatever...

Im like many. Got my banner. /enough

I left CW after initial roll out. Threw my hat in the ring for the event. Played a dozen matches, got 80+ points each time. Some of the matches were really good. Like 1 v 1 at the end, defend the gun kind of good. Some were /meh.

But in the end, CW has a long, long way to go. Im beginning to feel PGI has painted themselves into a corner with this iteration of Community Warfare.

Got my banner and now I'm disappointed, it's hideous. The 24 hour medallion and the island cockpit items were much better.

I have been ignoring CW for some months now, and this event is making me regret that. It's fun! Getting in a 12-man works quite well with the LFG-tool, after which the queue becomes max. 15 min. Still long, but bearable. Close matches al over, yet to get spawncamped.

Just saying, this event is not all doom and gloom.

I think many people would not mind the wait so long as every time a person dropped from your group didn't reset your spot on line ALL THE WAY to the BACK OF THE LINE.

I'm just amazed people are willing to waste this much time waiting in a queue with their free time to play a really repetitive game mode. I tried it twice and that was enough to tell my what a frigging waste of time it is and give it up. There are good books to be read, movies to be seen etc that CW doesn't stand a chance whatsoever.
