well, too bad you cannot see if the enemy is a premade... obviously there is no reason to dodge when you are in the game, at least you can get some c-bills

Well, that's not completely true, because during this event, and a few days before, when we dropped in CW a few puggies asked to enter the team.
It depends on players, if they are from t-ball generation, or if they want to improve the game experience.

why should i even want it
i am a dedicated solo player, i walk by myself and i want to play with and vs solo players, those who play in packs should face others of their kind, like it's made in any decent moba, premades are always preferably matched vs premades

try a solo is queue and come back here with that attitude, the reason they don't do it is because the playerbase isn't big enough. This event serves to highlight the imbalance of clan vs is players when a carrot is dangled, which says nothing about anything other than there are a lot more established is players (which shouldn't be a surprise given the mechs have been around for nearly 3 years longer)

I agree that everyone should be able to play the way they want.
Ideally they would have two events, one for solo pug players and one for pre-made groups. That can be a problem both ways though in not enough players of either faction, or pre-mades with only 11 people on and no one to fill that 12th spot.
Much of the time it's kind of like grabbing 12 random Joe's off the street and facing off in a game of paintball vs 12 USMC grunts. Curbstomp. The game is only fun when you are faced off against opponents OF SIMILAR SKILL.
I understand your point of view, because I'm much the same in terms of pugging. I love the challenge and it can make you a better player, but CW is more about working with an organized team.
My advice though would be join a unit and give it a chance you might have some fun.
BTW, I make a TON more bills in CW as part of a unit. The income ratio to pugging is not even close.

Having wait times less then 10 seconds if not instantaneous (oops... sorry inner sphere pilots, sadly this doesn't work both ways) and the fact a lot of non cw people are joining in makes an interesting battle.
I have seen 12 pugs take on a 12 man pre made (sometimes the best of that faction on the leaderboard) and win and have seen some new behaviors, tricks, and tips through the time i played. It's quite good to see games where pugs work together (including yourself or on the receiving end) and I ran into some units that I now have found new friends and people to play with.
I see quite a few ways to improve this event in the future (which is basicly confirmed, a map reset is coming soon and so a tukayyid event will occur again, maybe after repair and rearm, internal faction economics and H-Bills, etc. could be at play now?)
Also for the next time around iI would like the map to represent the planet.
Rather 1-3 maps featuring but not limited to the iconic grass plains of Tukayyid, the Cities that the clans first invaded, or the Canyons, hills, and mountain networks. A map limited to ONLY tukayyid (and similar things with future iconic battles ie summerset)

This is further compounded by me being firmly in Team Clan Doesn't Balance Vs IS On Weight (And 20 Tonnes Doesn't Help!), so I've been assuming the event is going to be as incredibly one sided as these things always are.

Sunday, went on a few drops ran into coordinated Clan resistance and was eaten alive, as should happen when coordination meets PUG.
Was surprised that my Zeus and Panther were my strongest Mechs, and I got my only kill in my Yen. Though I think the player let me kill him to get into his next ride(the problem with respawn in my eyes).

Profanity has no place in the forums and is a breach of CoC. Besides, you are reading his edited post. Scroll up and read the one I quoted, which has the original language in it.
I double checked before I posted... there hadn't been an edit at the time I quoted it.

Profanity is a sign of an apathetic mind and a lack of respect for other people. What you do elsewhere on the forums is up to you, but on my threads, I disallow it and hold people to the CoC as best I can.
If you can be civil, by all means, stay and discuss. If you can't, please leave.

And this concerns you why? I reported him; not you. He had four instances of profanity, two of them quite strong. Any profanity is against CoC. Why this troubles you is your problem; not mine, and frankly, I don't really care to know why. What happens in threads that either of you start is entirely up to you. As for me, I view the contents of the thread as reflecting on me as an individual to a certain extent. If I do not have the self-discipline to police my own thread and enforce the CoC, then it reflects poorly on me. As a leader in my Unit, it is also up to me to set a good example. If you have a problem with that, then please go somewhere else. If you can discuss things civilly without griping about the rules I set within my own thread, then please remain and participate.
Please refrain from further discussion concerning this since it detracts from the thread topic. This topic has gone on entirely too long and will derail the thread.

As far as team goes, I can't speak for everyone and only for myself. That being said, my 12-Man Premade was only able to drop in two matches across a three hour period. That is bad design on PGI's part. Frankly, there were different approaches that could have been used to make drops more expedient.
usually i had to wait max 10 minutes with the unit i am in. that was weekend morning for german time.
what i see is that clan lacks the players to make the waiting time shorter.
with 30 groups into the defender queue and nothing in the clan queue i cant see a fail of PGI there.
its simply a lack of attackers.
the only thing that solves that problem are units switching sides to clans.

Fortunately for me, Clan saw less people and their wait times were less.
Had some good drops, a couple of bad ones and I decided to hit the LFG Tool. I found a cool bunch of guys on Saturday night and had a blast rolling with them. Found them again on Sunday and continued to have a great time.
Instant matches, good solid games.
Honestly, LFG has made this event amazing for me.
Still, I really do feel bad about the IS wait times. That sucks.
Wish you guys didn't get penalized for people dropping out of your queue.
