Hello!

I'm going to be getting a WarHawk-C after finishing the event that's going on. I was wondering, what are some good builds you all know?

Please don't responce with "warhawk is terrible, don't even try" etc. People said the same thing about the Myst Lynx and I've gotten 6x Kills in Pug drops with it.

If you have a build to share, even if you're unsure of it, share it! I'd love to see some ideas.
Mind you, I can change out all the omnipods, I have plenty of spare C-bills. However, I can't change the Torso mount, so I'm stuck with the C Torso.

Thanks!

I recommend Gauss, 2ERLL, 3ERML if you have any Whale experience.

my WHK-C build. Powerfull and devestating. And very very managable heat, allowing you to deliver 63 alphas in a short time

I'm considering the WHK-C now that I'm aware of this build. That's some heavy direct-fire!

That extra CT E hardpoint makes a big difference. I found two builds I liked so much I actually bought a 2nd WHK-C when they first came out.

I linked both builds int his thread.

The 3LPL, 3MPL build is great as well.

I'll bet, sounds quite similar to the Gargoyle D.

Can only vouch for this, by far the most effective WHK build out there.

i run mine with all C omnipods, 5 erll, targeting comp 2, bap, full Armour and as many heat sinks as possible. can chain fire those LL all day long without over heating ( not really...but a long time) Not great for alphas, but can rack up the damage.

Hi Night!

Was actually searching for whk-c builds as well and came across your post.. so which loadout are you using?

I think a WHK-C with 4 Large Pulse Lasers with extra Heat Sinks in the legs. With that loadout i find myself staying stable with heat (unless face tanking an atlas :/) and dealing tons of damage. This WHK-C loadout also works great on the board game of Battletech.

The 4 LPL build is decent for poking or brawling, but if you lose your arms, that's it.

I have a build for it with gauss, 2 LPL, and a Streak SRM 6

Pretty surprised nobody posted this one yet. Only issue, beyond the Warhawk's usual issues, is that distributing the lasers well is rather difficult with the LT being full of heatsinks. You can place your LPL better, but that means putting your gauss ammo on the right side of your mech which more or less defeats the purpose of moving all of the LPL over to the left side.

Alternatively you can place the LPL in the CT, moving one ton of gauss ammo to the RT. This reduces your arm reticle firepower, but it does leave you with 1LPL, 1ML and a Gauss if you lose your right side while maintaining the same alpha if you lose your left.

Either way, it seems pretty effictive... if it didn't look so much like a Direwolf it would probably be pretty solid for pugging.

I use build with 2x LBX- 5 and 2x LPL
With all that quirks, it is working really well (for a warhawk).

Not the usual Clan Laser vomit and taking advantage of the last patch.

Dual PPC, Gauss, dual SRM6

WHK-C

almost the same but I use 2 cermlas. Make sure to get the energy quirk. The erppc with gaus makes stuff go bye bye, especially lights

Yeah, ERPPCs on WHK is great now!

BTW, you can do 3LPL+1Gauss if you don't have that WHK-C to make the famous 2LPL+3ERML+1Gauss. Firing the 3LPL with ghost heat is not a big problem.

WHK-A

The legs are somewhat low on armor. Work best for long-ish range engagements like in CW.
