Man, these Joystick, throttle & pedal setups are crazy spendy. I just have an old logitec 3D Pro I would love to get one of those gaming chairs w/ a stick, throttle and foot pedals tho. Could I borrow a few hundred dollars guys?

How positively interesting! Do you use the hat or head tracking to look around cockpit? *holds out microphone*

I find it more important that this implies MWO has progressed far enough to use a joystick to move around the game. Which also implies completed models and animations.

If its possible, would be cool if there was a way to set it in game such that joystick pedals when both pressed simultaneously it would engage jump jets (as opposed to pressing one at a time for left/right chassis turn). I think currently only way to do this is to delve into the scripting language of the particular product.

Ive been using a Saitek X52 Pro with Throttle and Joy for the DCS series of combat flight simulators. I'm hoping that the game is deep enough, that I can map the plethora of HOTAS buttons and switches to some of the traditional Mechwarrior commands, like heat venting and coolant flushing, choosing missile amd laster banks, etc.

Oh yeah, and I forgot... I use Natural Points TrackIR too look around the cockpit in the flight sims. It would be AWESOME if MWO had the same option. It really ads to the immersion, and Natural Point is very good at including gaming profiles for developers if they are interested. Having head tracking in a simple game like DiRT Rally made a good game even better. Can't describe the difference being able to look sideways out the passenger window while drifting makes! lol. Mind you, that would be one giant skid in an Owen I guess.

If there's going to be support for dual joysticks then the Saitek X-52 Joystick/Throttle combo. Otherwise the Saitek Cyborg.

I've got the Saitek Cyborg X . Its an alright stick although mines being a bit glitchy from the over use of taking the stick from the base, i'll prob use it for MWO but i may get a new one because i have a feeling that my stick is dying and plus 11 buttons before having to press the shift key isnt enough to be honest. I was looking at the Saitek X-52 HOTAS and the PRO HOTAS one but mixed reviews making me go mmm....

or eventually might end up investing in the new Saitek force sensing HOTAS :P

BUT on the X-52 the spring loaded cover switch has to be an Alpha button

Man I hope that means what I think it means (that the G-940 is supported) because I really want to use mine for something other than the couple of flight sims I have.

Just get rudder pedals that have toe brakes. With rudder pedals, when you push one, the other pulls back toward you... but the toe brakes are independant of that.

Alternatively, if you had pedals from a steering wheel, they would operate independantly from each other... but I'm not sure how readily you could program your software to react differently (jump jets) to both being pressed simultaneously.

Very nice. I wouldn't be so rash as to conclude that means you have Force Feedback supported yet.... but it does pretty well imply that you have multiple controllers being recognized (as that is how Logitech reportedly has the G940's three components recognized by Windows). :)
