I've much respect for you chaps.

The only complete stomp I ended up on the wrong end of during Tukayyid was when my PuG loaded in against a [-MS-] premade.

The slaughter was horrific, but your group was respectful and humorous, and it was a fun run even so.

Cheers! 07

I would suggest, make yourslefl a a big merc unit a little quest: , go liao, and try to open an attack lane up to the clanners.

my assesment of your impact on cw remains the same as it was in cw-beta 1:
merc star is to big for the current cw enviroment.
your apperance on one front is gamebreaking.
split up into 2 units and make sure that its always one on clanside and one on is side to minimize the balance breaking effects you had in beta-1.
it will increase your gaming experiance and decrease the destructive effect on cw as whole.

and congratulation on your event performance 07

I will extend you an offer via PM.

For this past Event, I employed 228, AS and VRGD under remunerated contract for the Combine.

PGI's breaking of ALL contracts basically short-changed me out of the House KURITA #FastStart a full observance of those three contracts would have assured the Coordinator.

While there will be upsides and downsides to a House KURITA contract, I have always been in favor of Mercenary Marketplace (http://mwomercs.com/...ost__p__4244844) functionalities and would see the 299-gamers of -MS- offered a firm and fair contract offer. The internal debate/voting should afford your gamers an exceptional opportunity to realize at least a hint of what would be possible if PGI followed through on their initial hints at what #MercLife would have offered.

PM / contract offer inbound to Antonius Rex. Offer will include both a "MAX-capped" base remuneration offer, as well as various bonus / performance based incentive clauses. I suggest anyone who doubts my (Connor Sellock/Prussian Havoc's) ability to pay / trustworthiness, should get in touch with Deadfire or Queenblade of 228, MangoBogadog or Arn0ld Schwarzenegger of Antares Scorpions or Dungeon Keeper of the Varangian Guard.

Message received Connor, an MS officer will get back with you shortly. Thank you.

I feel like mercs in general are one of the biggest things wrong with MWO. No other MMO I can think of lets you change faction repeatedly and regularly, and there's a reason for that.

And what of units like SRoT, CI, Carrion Crows, etc? There are several units listed on Zeece's spreadsheet larger than MS. Because some of them are House loyalists they get excluded from your mis-perception? Or maybe because you never lost to some of the others? I think your "assessment": is way too personally biased.

The only way PGI's BETA becomes any better is through your comments and mine submitted to thread such as: http://mwomercs.com/...ost__p__4144456

The express purpose of MWO's Forum "Features Suggestion" Section is to bring to PGI's attention those facets of MWO you would see improved. More significantly imo we need to provide suggested fixes, workarounds or alternative mechanisms to better address the problems we bring to light.

I look forward to contributing to a "Features Suggestion" of yours should you have the time and opportunity to submit one.

I've suggested it there before. It's a non-starter because factional fluidity is a desired mechanic in MWO. I just feel that it makes factions ultimately less meaningful and immersive and removes any real connection to a faction and a particular sub-community to have the ability to change factions at will every week or two. Typically MMO games inspire some sort of investment and loyalty to a faction. And that's here, but as we saw in Beta 1, the loyalist groups are ultimately at the mercy of where the mercs are going in a given month.

There should be benefits and consequences for being a merc. As of now there's really isn't anything.

Being able to pay them would be a start.
Limiting their tech should be a option.
Game rewards should be less if houses end up paying for services.

It's crazy because in the current system everybody is a merc (they can change factions at will) and nobody is a merc (everyone is actually IN a faction even if only temporarily).

Madness. But also glorious.

I actually think the best/easiest solution with current mechanics would be to somehow cap how many people can join a faction.

When you try to select a faction only certain ones come up as options.

If you really want to be in a faction stay in that one and never ever go to another.

Everyone else will have to choose from factions available, and therefore there is another knob to tweak in balancing population among factions, clan/IS, etc. Similar to the current faction-specific rewards but much more rigid.

Having Mercs PAY for munitions and repairs.......would balance the game a bit better IMHO. In other words....if you are permanent to a house or clan...no worries. If you are a merc.....well....there are drawbacks.

Having dropped with MS the entire week, my experience was not unlike having been brought up from the farm team to play in the major leagues.

It was not just your ability to fight which won the Battle of Tukayyid, though that was most impressive. More importantly, it was your careful preparation, your logistics, your ongoing support and coordination of your available forces. You did not just fight a battle, you waged and won a major six day campaign, and maintained drops 24 hours a day throughout the fight.

It was a superior achievement all around, and I am very pleased to have been there to be part of it.

Now it's back to the farm for this old dog, because after the 100+ CW drops I could use a little R&R:)

It was an honor to fight with you.
