Caught with your pants down, huh? I told you to lay off the gardening. It's too distracting, but noooo, you NEEDED to have those Ficus trees lined up JUST RIGHT.

We have jobs and stuff to do on Wednesday. I know that you guys have tons of time but consider this, we have about 200-400 people for house liao, and no coordination. Despite our "saber rattling" what we are trying to do is re-vitalize community warfare. For your size you guys need more fronts.
We literally have the least amount of members of any house. You guys have 1200-1600 people, have a HUGE front despite this I have yet to see a attack from you guys on DC,Free Worlds League, or Steiners since before 390 of 500 (http://www.norrisdev.com/mwocw).
I'm not saying its not a job well done to take our worlds, I would just perfer some better numbers so we can defend better. That being said I don't envy the FRR. It must be a nightmare defending those worlds.

I think you're missing that this is just friendly trash talk. Nothing malicious is intended here. Also, the FRR is a nightmare. At least it was when the clans were attacking in full strength, and had the backing of a lot of mercs. That was a bang up impression of the invasion, if I do say so myself. CW 1 was hell for the FRR, and I will never consider them anything less than one of the toughest nuts to crack in the whole IS.

Ah. Perhaps I didn't understand. I do trash talk a little but more "bill o riley" style on liao forums. I just wish we had the numbers to defend or drop the same way you guys do. I REALLY want us to come together as a faction. I'm going to try to talk to some people about that but as I'm a newbie I don't really know what I can do.

1. Do a turret drop on daily objective (hope enemy musters for a defense).
2. If no enemy, make next drop a defensive drop against where ever we are being attacked from.
3. If not being attacked, make next drop defensive drop on clan border.
4. After a a real drop, return to daily objective and do another turret drop (hope enemy musters for a defense), rinse and repeat.
Now if we are hitting our objective, and the objective is putting up a defense, and then Marik or Kurita start an attack, we can only afford to send a single group off to try to defend against that attack if we have at least 3 12 man groups. So in many cases, when we only have 2 12 man groups, we end up trading the planet we took for the one or two we lost on our other borders.
At least you guys only have two borders to defend. Us Davion's have 4 and with CW populations being as low as they are, there is just no way we can defend it all.

This kind of BS bothers me way more than good natured ribbing ever would. Davion and Liao are both sitting at 75k and 75 point for rewards, and a cursory glance at the queues at any given time will show you why. We have similar numbers of active people in CW right now, this 1200-1600 number is completely made up and it really doesn't help to throw it around like it's fact.

The numbers come from the Tukayyid event. PGI doesn't give us the Active player numbers for CW. They are afraid to show how little this game mode is used.

Apparently it's a similar thing across the board. Doesn't matter if your faction has a big population, if 99% of them aren't active. For crying out loud, at one point a few members of the AFFS switched to clans, probably because they were already getting bored with fighting IS only, and possibly with CW itself.
Now I'm biased here, but but I really think the overall experience would improve if they added some kind of restriction, so you can't drop into CW without at least a couple mastered mechs. If CW is supposed to be end game content, then at least make it feel like that. Getting a new player, who can barely steer right without bumping into a wall, into a CW match is more than enough to make them quit the mod and probably never try it again. I know it fits with the whole "Baptism by fire" motif that has been there since day 1 for MWO, but this might be one place where that should be taken out.
Also, why on earth do we need two teams attacking a planet simultaneously to have a chance of taking it? That just punishes small population factions even more. It has also lead to the greatest defense strategy ever imagined "Just let them attack it, it'll take them too long, and after 3 ghost drops, they'll get bored, and leave". That's not good.
I think people wanted CW to be like Planetside 2, in some way.

Tukayyid event is over and done with, and cannot seriously be used as an example of how many players any given faction can consistently field.
