I can see how the more aggressive Clan players would find the DWF difficult to pilot on attack. When Clans defend in CW, however, they're a nightmare to get around if positioned correctly. They move as fast as a well-stocked IS KGC, but with far more firepower to throw around. And if you protect said DWF with a couple of streak-crows then lights won't be an issue.

And I have to ask...does the HB's lack of endo- really matter when they commonly run Guass+ECM+2xER Large (or PPCs, depending on how you want your armor)? Granted they could run more weapons, but this is a talk of balancing isn't it?

what would this change? the same people would just ***** about BV being wrong and they'd adjust them to meet NGNGs recommendations.... I mean Reddits recommendations..I mean..the minority of the player base.

So my unit spends about two weeks discussing what is the official unit drop composition and we finally publish it in our forums, 6 days later its invalid, LMAO.

At least it made me chuckle, you got to admit the timing was magnificent for us :P

[-MS-] successfully annihilated Clan Smoke Jaguar.

It wasn't the Inner Sphere drop decks that were OP after Tukayyid, by any means, or that the Clans were so much better than the Inner Sphere during Tukayyid. It was the fact that the best CW unit in the game was Clan Wolf for Tukayyid, and went Kurita afterward.

This and everyone wants to play Stalker 4Ns right now. Till today (last night) KFC which was 20% of active CW players for CSJ was Davion.

MS was bought out by Prussian and now that the contract is over they are still in DC... Because the mech is just fun to play in CW.

My drop deck for IS (because DERP did the rounds for a while before BoT, 4N, Misery, 6k,Locust PB), we all know they are brilliant mechs for CW and people want to play them. So we have a huge population problem right now.

Everyone wants to be on the winning team.. *cough cough* DC *Cough Cough*... everyone wants to play the best mechs for CW. (and on the most organized TS ... Thank you hk server.) and their is no motiviation for population to shift.

So PGI has the following options

A. Break up the LL meta... Set down the LL to 2 instead of 3... very unpopular I would assume.

B. Bring Clan Large lasers to 3 ... OMG more large lasers... GAH!!!...

C. Bring other clan weapons into contention ... Russ Mentioned working on Clan Autocannons next month... not sure if it would be enough...

Right now I have no will to play CW, I want to play clan mechs... I love clan mechs... but I am better served dropping over to the HK servers and playing IS mechs.

And I know a few of you would love me to come join ya :)... <3

(not that I would leave derp, just that I would lobby for them to go there next)

I'm a big fan of dropping in Clan mechs. I'm hoping NS eventually takes a Clan tour, maybe after the EJ and Executioner drop :D

I don't know, but what appears to be happenign here is that a lot of people are assigning motives to the change: It's because clanners whined! I don't think this is to fix anything. I don't think it's in "response" to anything, be it complaints, whines, Tuk scores, or anything else.

I think it's ultimately very simple: Few IS players actually used those 10t, and it didn't really have a big impact either way; Russ just wanted to put both back to an even keel and see how things played out. That's it. Nothing more, nothing less.

A small change to reset things to a normal base level, and observe.

Heck, let teammates use tonnage I don't need!

I am very happy with this change. First of all no more 12 Thunderbolt for 4 waves. No more 3 wave jaggermech or 3 wave dragon. For those who said that the Timberwolf is Overpower is lies! Not when IS Dragon can equip three AC2 or dual Ac5 and shoot like their freaking machine gun. Jagger mech is for one word and that is Nonsense. Its nonsense because its broken as in OP and i don't even want to go in with the Thunderbolt with 6 med lasers. So Yay one for us clanner. Finally IS get a nerf and maybe we might start playing CW because i feel like we won the event and yet we got nothing to show expect for the map reset ( Which help IS more than Clan) with a little banner saying were number 1#( which does look nice but to bad you can't see it >:0 ).

Lawl, what a troll move by PGI, and such results! Hilarious discussion, just hilarious! Rage on, good sirs, hold nothing back! In the mean time let me throw in my 5 work credits.

My Clan deck rarely if ever hit the cap, so not much of a problem here. If any spheroid remembers, Clans have been nerfed by design from the very start, because there was no CW at all and all sides and factions played together in pub matches. Clearly if Clan mechs arrived in their full glory it would throw the balance out of the airlock, so PGI nerfed Clans to IS level. Obviously there are some gaps in Clan lineup at the moment that are filled with mechs in IS lineup, and all of these came to a head when both sides were pitched against each other in CW. To QUICKLY compensate for these to avoid just the kind of reaction that I am witnessing here, PGI implemented various debatable solutions, but once in a while they revisit the situation and try to even the playing field and break up some unnatural solutions that so called "pro gamers" invariably develop. That includes Clan laser-boating (for the lack of any other usable weapons) and STK-TBR boating (for the lack of desire to put any thought or effort in the game). The tonnage limits used to be equal not too long ago, remember?

My suggestions are two-fold. First, allow units to cross the IS/Clan border, like, once in two months with big penalties. These are two fundamentally different social systems, even much more so than Word of Blake and Republic of the Sphere (IIRC they both had mercs). That would still allow some flexibility but would also force mercs into actually planning their actions. Second, limit decks to only one mech of any single model (one RVN-3L prohibits another 3L, Huginn or whatever but still allows a Jenner, Panther or Flamestarter). I mean PGI implemented ghost heat to prevent boating of weapons (still not all weapons, mind you), then why on earth allow boating mechs?

how in the world is a STK-4N better than a TBR-A?
I really dont get it, please explain it to me...

I own both mechs, i have both mastered, i have multiple hundreds of thousands of excess EXP

Fact is, that my LL Stalker has a 56 dmg Alpha, and goes to around !!! 70% !!! Heat after 1 Alpha...
My TBR has a 61 Alpha, is more than 25 kph faster, has better Hitboxes, has a TC, can shield with his right side and i about 30% smaller than my Stalker, 3 CLPL in one high mounted shoulder... AND my Alpha only brings me to roughly 50%... The only drawback is that I have a slightly lower range on SOME Weapons...

So please, please explain to me how a STK 4N is better than that?

I actually dont even drop my STK anymore, because i feel THUD's are much more effective in a Weight/Performance Ratio...
But that is personal preference

So much falsehood in this post. Only the top two in that list are even worth mentioning. And yes the lights.

Anyone who thinks Stalkers and Thunderbolts are SCR/HBR/TBR/DWF worthy are joking themselves. The rest of the mechs (barring the lights) on the list are worse then Stalkers and Thunderbolts.

How do you guys lie to yourself like this? It is unbelievable.

I played 95 CW matches for Tukayyid with 14 over 300 match scores and not one that didn't qualify. How did both of you fair?

Pure Clan whine idiocy, the only area where Clans dont completely overshine IS is with Autocannons, and IS pays a HUGE tonnage tax on those, and cant bring XL engines because it turns the mech into a literal glass cannon.

I hope that you someday play on the Clan side of CW and see how "unbelievable" it is. You sound like a beaten dog that just got off his chain and can't accept the good life he now has or in this case the OP quirks.
