there is the Sarah's Jenner. That could become a mech available for a specific time of year with funds going to a certain charity. There was just over 12,000 sold.
The Grid Iron Limited edition could come out during the
Gold clan mechs, lets make a pass on that one.
Founders package, there is a principle here. They help found the game.
Phoenix package. It was to be for a limited time only. Maybe to be release it once a year, like in the middle or end of December. Then through some MC or some thing else to the original Phoenix purchasers for losing the exclusivity of the package.

If this Phoenix pack not getting re-released is the final straw that drives them away, they probably weren't going to be here much longer anyway.
Besides...the Phoenix variants themselves aren't even that great anyway. The call for a "no" vote is just on principle for many people.
Because PGI has clearly shown they can make money in other ways (ie: other mech packs).
Maybe someone's word doesn't mean much to you or Dermot but it does to other people and you'll see that reflected in the vote (if the Phoenix guys make the kill requirement).
If your girlfriend cheated on you, even though you had both agreed to be "exclusive" prior to that, it wouldn't bother you that it was "only her position at the time"??? I guess it IS kind of petty to not allow other people the same enjoyment you once had exclusively...
Your analogy isn't apt. It would be equiv to if you were exclusive to one point (actually, perhaps had some exclusive item between you) that after time did not have the same allure and so you discuss things and decide to try a poly or open relationship. The cheating wouldn't be apt because PGI hasn't done anything. It's asking as a discussion.
A huge reach sir and I kind suspect you already know that but you're stretching to prove your point (which is fine. It's your opinion).
PGI hasn't proven anything. Your conjecture is that other packs are all that they need. But eh...
How about this, what if those of us who purchased this pack because there was no clanner alternative at the time... what if we decided to give up our packs (without a return of cost or anything) so that other can experience the meh joy that was the Phoenix pack.

As for money: PGI needs to figure out another way to monetize the game in addition to mech packs that brings actual gameplay content. ala NWN, WOW, GW, and on and on and on.... its not rocket science.
I could tell them two dozen ways off the top of my head.
business 101
Yeah, and the ones you just mentioned will kill the game, rather than make it generate any profit.
As it stands, MWO still has way too many problems to be a subscription based game. Adding an auction house won't be useful at all either, since in those games, that auction house can allow you to get superior/OP gear if you had the money. While MWO has none of those gear options because it's not a P2W game or an MMORPG where you can grind gear.

Seriously guys, this is important, more important than your packages

PGI shouldn't go back on their word for these kinda things.
It says right on the MWO FAQ that these will NEVER be available again.

I agree with you, that the games he mentioned all are/or subscription based and do not fit the Free to Play model that MWO uses. I also think that their problem lies more within the lack of personnel needed to develop their current game in a timely fashion. If they used the resources they currently have to work on solutions to make CW a more substantial game mode that actually draw in players to want to play it, they would make a better profit in the long term. The thing that causes concern to me though is the marketing model that they need to keep putting out new mechs/mech packs which actually takes up resources that could be used to further the development progress of CW.

Yeah, it probably shouldn't be re-offered, but they are giving us the choice, and if we vote yes, PGI can just go "Well, you guys who bought it, and owned, and are literally the only group that can be impacted by this vote, said yes".

When LoL first started, they were releasing a new champion each week. Now they do it once every couple of months, since they've grown, and now have a solid stable to fall back on.
I think MWO needs to scale back the mech packs, but at the same time, they NEED to introduce more clan mechs. As it stands the clans are out-numbered at least 3 to 1 in each weight class.

Well some of that is solved with the next Clan Mech Pack... But the difference with LoL and MWO is that LoL other than the beginning only puts out a single champion at a time, which gives them time after to not only work on the next champion, but also gives the needed time for the ever changing balancing issues that arise due to that champion among others. With MWO putting out Mech Packs , it basically condenses all that work in two or three installments of four to eight mechs all at once.

MWO used to that as well. However, since the clan invasion started, they've been doing packs only. I think after wave 3 they should slow down back to doing one mech every 2 months or so.

If they also put out a new pattern every 4 to 6 months that would be good as well... Then there is the whole skill line that could use a major overhaul, if they actually made it so that a chassis or even a weight class has a skill tree where there was a choice of one direction or another for each mech and make it so that if you chose to respec it would cost some GXP,

Makes it easier to restock in the mech lab (the MC versions just gather dust till I bother to micro-manage them)
So good job, please keep doing it this way.

Easy solution: Do a kind of open poll with a forum thread, where you like "no" or "yes". Everyone can see who voted for what.

Why NOT re-release the phoenix pack ?!
You lose NOTHING from them selling some more 'mechs. Infact you actually GAIN the knowledge that PGI is making money and therefore doing fine, being able to continue development of your favorite big-stompy-robots-game.
"UUUHHH but it's MINE, I want it all to MYSELF!". Grow the F up.
There's bigger issues than PGI selling some old 'mechs to new people.

Also I would love to see annual charity mechs such as the Sarah's Jenner it is a great way to bring something unique to the game whilst supporting great causes.
