Agreed. I will estimate, "using the ancient art of pulling numbers out of my nether regions", that upon steam release there will be about 8x more players for a period of 2 weeks. After that maybe down to 4x. Reception/reviews will be about 70% positive due to lack of polish, crashes to desktop, bugs, inability to reach server, extremely high system requirements to make this game playable, extremely long queue times for CW content, lack of good tutorials and fair to steep learning curve. Only about 1/16 of the new users will purchase anything. After a month playerbase will remain about 2x as what it has now. Any thoughts of a steam release in the near future will result in bad reviews and prevent any growth in population for a while. Because of the BT lore, MWO continues. If it didn't have that lore, if this game was all generic robots, I highly doubt many people would still be playing this game, just for product alone.

In this game I am, as well as some IRL things. Since I'll never actually have a physical copy of anything I buy here, I see no real value in the rarity of any of it.

As far as the founders package I don't see them putting it on sale because the value of that was more than just mechs. The MC you got in the package was worth the price of the package alone. That's why I only picked up the veterans level when that was available.

You may not see a value but someone else might...everyone sees things differently and that is perfectly OK

That's why I'm fine with it either way. Probably why it's a good thing they are putting it up for vote to those who bought it.

But they really need to stick to their word no matter what! just for the sake of creditability.

The only thing I would suggest, is a slightly different forum/game badge to differentiate b/w augural supporters and those that bought version 2.0. ( I think that would allay some of the limited time only folks.)
Edit: I am 100% against this ever happening to Founder's packages. I think that should never be touched.

And then the event lets those that have no need for it to decide for the rest whether there should be a re release or not. So its a kind of justice. Let those that stand to lose out on their limitedness decide whether or not to.
For those that feel the lost from no longer being "special", the phoenix pack is not much different from resistance 1 and 2 in terms of format. So since waves 1 and 2 are available, no reason not to.
I make the exception for founders. Those are the special bunch that had the blind faith at the start. I cannot imagine myself getting a founders badge when im not actually one. So if founders is re released, the badges should be significantly different.
the founders deserve it.

Bringing back the Phoenix Package, I'm all for it. Barely a year ago it came out, lots missed out or held back because they were unsure... now they might have the chance to purchase something many of us enjoyed.

I want to buy the Phoenix packs, but I don't want to do so if it will lessen the original purchasers in their eyes. Some people are always gonna hate, I know that... So, I'm curious how this will turn out.

Yes, it would be nice to get the Saber Package, but Phoenix was a big thing at the time. It was a LIMITED TIME offer. It'd be like them re-releasing the Gold Mechs again in 3 weeks time.
Not like the Founders deal though. As posted above, that was a completely different kettle of fish. That was like buying a Lotto ticket and hoping for the jackpot (or, you know, investing in a kickstarter game....).
So in short, no, the Phoenix Package should NOT be available again. BUT, I would like to see a Tukayyid pack or packs (one for IS, one for Clan, perhaps). They could even be remix packages of currently available chassis, with a <CW> variant for each chassis per pack that provides bonus Loyalty Points.

They said it was a limited time offer, they are trying to avoid taking blame for lies by putting it on the owners of the pack.
Smacks of desperation.
Man up keep your promises, ohhh LOL its PGI.
