And continuing with the focus on community communication, they go thru with these idiotic nerfs without even bothering to tell us "we know you are angry but we will not change them". Please keep doing this PGI, at this point I don't even care if this game loses all its players.
If i remember correctly, only about 12,000 players showed up for the battle of Tukayyid. That should have been a pretty serious and heavily attended community event. The reality is, the community is already gone. And worse, the game is so shallow and has such a steep entry curve and is vastly expensive to play if you hope to actually achieve anything that it simply doesn't pull and keep players. There is, basically, a small contingent of players dropping huge sums of money into this game.
Its a catch 22 for both devs and players. Devs have to exploit player's hunger for new content to gain revenue, and have to constantly shift the balance of the game to discourage player comfort and complacency. Players have no alternate to play a niche franchise, so must constantly dump funds into a game to keep up with the paradigm. Devs can't build a game player like too much, and players can't like the game they're investing in. No one is satisfied but the wheels keep turning.
