Also if you want a "bad" build feel free to use that one, pre elites I had this game. Most games were around 600 damage and 2+ kills though.


I'm using SPL + SRM6 cool down modules just to maximize close range damage when I get hot. 50 Firepower and 142 KPH is pretty damn "bad".

Also that left M+E hardpoint arm is well worth it. Coupled with the highest extra internal structure leg omni's its the best Ferret, and well worth the money.

At first i thought you too had finally jumped into the i quit this game/ my favorite mech is the worst in MWO even though it looks so cool.

Dontor, this is very counterproductive. The last thing I need is for people to realize my Ice Ferret actually carries weapons. They might actually bother to shoot me then.

I use the Prime variant with the 2 energy arm pods and just run 4 ermls and a srm 6 with 1 ton of ammo and it does very well.
However it is still a very large target for a small medium and the CT seems to get the Jenner effect.

Not compared to the Treb, Centurion, Shadowhawk, Wolverine, or Griffin...
its in between the cicada and the Hunchy I'd say its the perfect size.

So the stuff i've been doing so far has meaning. To stay away from the team. Go lone ranger in my Kit Fox.

Playing Cicada's taught me very well how to play the Fenris. It is an amazing skirmisher, and very durable with the ability to roll damage.
The only mech that will eclipse this is the Shadow Cat, well, because that was literally my first Mech, ever.

Well, it was also specifically built to outclass the Ice Ferret, so I guess it is to be expected.

Completley agree, piloted Commados and Cicadas almost exclusively through closed beta, was very good practice for the much more highly armored and durable Ice Ferret.

It was so dark and the lasers were blinding me I honestly dont remember seeing your GRFN, I thought you were the one in the Grasshopper I fought in the end. I usually dont even read pilot names once I'm in the fight anyhow...

True, it trades speed (sustainable, just to be clear) for better overall punch. Which I am okay with, and the way the weapons are mounted is nice, I'll still run the Fenris though, its just too much fun to not do it. Especially when you get a pair of these and a pair of Locusts working together. 4 of us took down 2 KGC's and 2 DW's on Viridian Bog, it was pretty damn epic.

I'm so glad someone else is finally understanding just how bad the Ice Ferret truly is.

I've been running mine with LPL + 2x ER ML and getting terrible results. And with all the mobility quirks it stacks it's just awful at mid-range poking.

I thought about doing 1 LPL and 4 SLs, but I would miss my missles to much...

I just stack the ERMLs. Is it a poker or is it a light? Depends on the situation.
