Given up on this event already, I have to admit now that while this CW system is nice in theory and the CW map and the playable maps all look and play really good, it just cant support such a low playerbase, too many planets and too many factions then there is the imbalance between clan and IS factions.

It needs to be Tukayyid style all the time a planet a day or something, that and pugging the solo/group queues still pays better.

Oh and the crashing after each CW match when heading back to the mechlab is fun!

I love the way they balance this game! (<--sarcasm)

Bribing players to switch factions is going to do more harm than good in the long run.

That's the only way devs can deal with inbalance in a game with multiple factions. alot of MMO with more than one faction do that.

50 matches is a pain in the ass for CW. it takes forever while players with the clan package do it in fraction of the time/games because they can get multiple points. Add in the fact that players part of unit factions are given incentives to not play IS and to switch over to clan. I don't wish I bought the clan. I think they are asking to much in to little time for IS players and taking away our IS players at the same time for the event. Its dumb. I don't want to farm the event. I want to play with competent players. Not pugging with bad players players waiting to lose but scoring enough to get 1 point per loss.

IS players you should be attacking clan worlds not defending ours, let the clans ghost drop, waste their time getting no score. By attacking we have easier battles and take back our hard erned planets. Dont give them the easy battles make them fight.

Mwo isn't fun when you grind, grind , grind, game crash, fail, grind, grind, EPIC FAIL, grind, grind, redeem items (after 50 billion days of grinding, grind, grind, fail, fail, fail streak, lose server connection, grind, grind, grind, event over. Man, I was a point away from getting that mech! Whydid i waste this weekend!

i imagine that's whats going to happen to people, including me.

The event was a bad ideal because it made CW matter. Sadly CW isn't right and needs work but out side of creating mechs and maps PGI has not really done much work on CW other than chat maybe ... .

So please PGI if you read this work on CW and get some things out this summer so it can be well tested by fall so when people are getting back to staying at home they can have it all worked out because of the dedicated people testing it in the summer. If CW can get fixed and work as intended then I have a feeling this game will have a long happy and healthy life :) which makes me happy considering I have spent a lot of money on it.

You guys do know this is a free2play game that being said you don't have to and aren't forced to pay for anything . and PGI also doesn't have to make events like these and give away free stuff for an already free game..

Yes but it helps promote the game. In some ways of doing these promotions though it can and does hurt the community, but also in other ways it can better the community.

You do realize that 40 hours of bad games is not worth any amount of free swag that didn't cost them anything to make to begin with and is essentially worthless. Events can promote the game or can make people hate it. Make events that are fun and not grindy. Make events where players on both sides have fun. I've played almost every event to completion and some were not worth it. This is the breaking point for me. You say its free to play. Its not when you're not having any fun.

40 hours of pugging in CW as IS. Because of the way they set up the event most of the players who bought clan packs switched to play as clan. Theres no organized groups playing for IS. Kurita, Stiener, and Davion only have 1 12 man at most going on in thier TS servers and its the weekend. It was 4-5 times that during last event. Playing with so many bad players as well as minimal-no organization is quite intolerable in CW.

Dear PUGer,

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT, take the PGI-provided option to play CW in PUG. Instead, just leave and play normal matches.

Then, after a couple of months of empty servers and the echoing whines of unit players in empty lobbys (remember the post-Tukkayied time? I know, I know, people were just spent and needed a break. Yeah right!), they will start to realize that in order for THEM to enjoy CW, they need and open and enjoyable queue even for PUGs from where THEY can recruit their unit ranks. Hint: New unit players coming out of thin air are not so common as PFKAP (players formerly known as PUGs).

Its more likely that the IS units are drowned by the IS solo drops.

CW is supposed to be an organized playing field, kinda "expert mode". But opening it up for anybody makes it a huge mess with people having not much of an idea of what is happening (just have to see the number of OMEGA rushes during counter...)

And you could have "newbie friendly" units so people can be introduced in a lighter and friendlier way to organized play. If CW was only limited to people in units everyone in there would have a better time.. Have to say that PGI is being a bit too myopic about this sadly.

yes, how dare they split the sides in half when in lore and in all the other games one side had access to one kind of tech and the other had their own.

Keep bitching noob. You obviously have no love of the game, history or lore. Once you learn some of it you might understand, but no one cares about your tears.
