Yup.

As well, what about collector type players? I've over a hundred mechs now, with more on the way. I play them all too, though I have my favorites. I've got millions of XP, but probably no more than 400k on any particular mech. Needing an absurd XP total needlessly gates what should be a "pay2avoidgrinding" behind... Grinding. That just stupid.

Maybe for a select few that don't have a champion variant, and also if I like a standard one more than the hero, but for the most part, no. For various reasons, including but not limited to PGI having more than enough of my money as it is, and that c-bills and EXP are useless to me the second I fully elite a chassis and have it fully customized to my preferred loadout (and maybe with some extra equipment if there's more than one build per variant I enjoy using).

So you mean to say that you have one chassis elited? Otherwise that cbill income could be put to use (buying) and mastering your next chassis. Or do you pay for chassis's exclusively with MC?

Most of my mechs came from the packages, most of my c-bills go towards equipment, messing around with random builds (you'd be surprised what can actually work at times, regardless of what the numbers on mechlabsimulatorofyourchoice tell you) and the required upgrades for literally every IS mech ever, particularly engines.

Often while grinding basics I know immediately which variants I care to elite and which ones can be turned into very large paperweights. I think I have about four total variants across all of my mechs actually mastered.

EDIT: What little free time I have and how much of it is spent in other games is a factor as well, if I don't particularly like a chassis I'm far less likely to play it, I actually have several resistance mechs I haven't even put ES or DHS on yet, despite wanting to try them without being a wasted slot on the team.

Ah, I see.
You're lucky to be spared from the spacepoor grind. :(

so because you wouldn't use it, you feel others shouldn't have the option? Mighty neighborly.
