We've all played games with units like MS. Such a large scale that what they do threatens the game play in a negative way. Some games find a way to hamper the effects. Some ignore it and could care less. I think we fall into the care less category.

And the only way to fix that, would be a real solo queue for FW, like the one in QP.
Not this tagged / non-tagged nonsense of Phase 3.

Locking unit players out of the soloqueue limited its pool of available players to non-viable levels. No, the split must be grouped / not-grouped with a one button MM, to prevent syncing.

There's a world of difference between someone pugging and someone playing 'solo', as in not caring about/wanting teamwork. I pug in FW all the time. I still play to the team. Trying to force people to play with 23 other 'solo' players if they don't take the time to build a premade would just drive people out of FW.
I know I simply would have played a lot less. Most the people in my unit who play at odd times would have quit. It would almost completely kill Oceanic/Euro population which is limited to begin with.
Even now look at how many people in drops don't have tags. It's about 12%; about 1/4th of one team. 2-4 total players per drop. It was never a significant slice of the population. The point of the queue split was hoping it would draw more people. It didn't.
Second is someone being able to take a world without having to play against the organized units. Because there is no possible way to stop sync dropping. If KCom went to Kurita for a week and KCom and NS were dropping against World A and 24 Davions all dropped solo at the same time on the Davion/Kurita border we would absolutely be synced up. It's possible we each might pick up a couple Davion pugs but it'd be 10man + 2 pugs vs 12 Kurita pugs. We'd never have to play against KCom and NS unless you guys did the exact same thing - at which point the 'solo queue' would be comprised largely of units sync-dropping against each other so the other side couldn't snake a planet by avoiding the other.
Put the FW content in QP. Maps/modes. That way people can learn to play FW with a matchmaker in a more casual environment before graduating to the big leagues. Solo and group queues. Increase FW rewards and do the other stuff I've listed a dozen other places (one planet per front for example, combined attack/defend queue. Whoever loses the next world on that front is 1 planet further into their territory being a critical, needed change).
Wrong thread for this but the solo queue split failed because it offered no reason for more people to play FW while trying to split populations. That's it. Trying to force people into 'I do wut I want' hell queue if they don't take the time to build a premade is no solution.

I disagree. It worked perfectly for QP, it would work equally well for FP.
Except tons of people who play FW hate QP, hence why they play FW. Also QP matches don't count for anything thus bad teammates don't matter.
World of difference.
Put the content in QP, then you can QP that type of match all you want without trying to force people to play with the solos.

As long as it does not taint the current QP queue.

Just as new maps/modes. Like we used to pick what we wanted, Assault/Conquest/Skirmish just now it's 'standard/FP' boxes to choose from.
Could even show queue populations for you to choose.
Would be impossible to stop sync dropping in FP. If there's only 30 players in Kurita for example and you all drop in solo queue at the same time on Kurita/Steiner border you may have to spend a sec changing which TS room you're in but you're going to be synced.
That and like I said; many would just quit and there's nothing about it that would draw more solo players to FW.
