I'll do it and I'll play IS but I'm a lore *****.

Now... random 3025 Era stock mech CW? Hell the frack yes.

HBS Battletech. In that, a Stock Mode could work rather gloriously.

Here? Unless Steam really revives the player population, it simply can't work. The time it might have worked passed a long time ago, sadly.

I've been thinking a random stock 3025 era mech league might get enough folks to work though. We can probably find ways to simulate ammo raids, VIP assassinations, etc with the existing map modes too since both sides can agree act in a certain way to set the field.

need some heavy refereeing... too many people "agree" to terms, and then cheat them first chance they get. Saw it pretty regularly in SMM. Lots of "Oops I forgot my Shadowhawk had DHS" moments.

I was thinking admin controlled accounts with 1 mech each basiced. Team gets a brief notice about which mechs they're getting to play and then given the password to that account which is changed after the match.

Something like that should make it easier to prevent cheating and make it easier to make sure everyone has access to whatever random mechs they're assigned.

I really like this idea. I always envisioned CW to be the true BattleTech where Mechs are stock builds, and repair and re-arm makes a return.
