What would be interesting is comparing damage per kill against damage per match. Had time do look at two.

Ferret:
25 matches
212.07 per kill
254.48 per match
30 kills

Pretty Baby:
133 matches
365.28 per kill
318.59 per match
116 kills

Hunchback 4G 283 dmg/kill
Locust 1E 284 dmg/kill

All the rest are above 300 damage and few snipers are close to 600 :D

Mist Lynx Prime- 101 matches 113/54 K/D 307 damage per kill. (4 SPL) Love this mech, regularly score 500+ damage a game. My best match so far- last person alive on my team against 4 enemies, 6 kills, 1 assist, 898 damage, 12 components destroyed, 47% health left.

My only other mech that isn't terrible is Kit Fox Prime at 150 matches, 361 per kill. (LPL+3SPL)

I've only been playing about a month and a half, so the KFX and Lynx are my only two mechs that don't have horrible stats, even though I've got about two dozen mechs in my garage, most have 'learning the game' stats.

seems...counter intuitive to have high damage to kill for .....snipers?

(I am not sure what is up with all the blank space, it came with the Table tag)
I try to pride myself in not chasing the meta, which is why most of these chassis have so few games, except for that Wolverine-6K (with the extreme LPL quirks), I abused the hell out of that.

My 4 LPL Warhawk-P. I had it running 4x CERPPC for a long time so it was in the negative and losing badly. But since running 4x LPL on it, I have taken it from about 26/28 to where ti sits now at 50K 38D. Wins are +4

Interesting thread! Here are my top 3 most efficient:
  • RVN-H: 295 damage/kill (46 matches)
  • HBK-4G: 309 damage/kill (123 matches)
  • KGC-000: 328 damage/kill (43 matches)
And now I list them according to their deadliness index (damage/match divided by damage/kill):
  • KGC-000: 1.42
  • RVN-H: 1.13
  • HBK-4G: 0.97
From this result, I can conclude that the King Crab (4x UAC/5) is honest to god deadly. Watch out when you saw one on the battlefield! Although the Hunchback is efficient, it is short ranged and can excel only when the circumstances allow. Lastly, the Hugginn preys only the slow and weak. Combined with her firepower, it's no wonder that she's efficient. Open your eyes and watch out for one when you are slow, alone, and blinking red!

Mine are:
- AS7-D 313.4
- CN9-D 328.1
- SDR-5D 353.9

At least from those with over 50 matches. I do have a BJ-3 with 133.6, but only 8 matches :). It has a K/D of 10.

My biggest surprise is that this formula was actually not as useless as I thought.

Example: I knew mastering the FS9-A would be easy mode, so I decided to run with STD280, 8 SLs and no jump jets, instead of the standard meta builds. Just for the challenge. Which made the FS9-A a pain in the ass to master, and I eventually gave up and equipped a meta build to finish the last few matches.

As a result, the FS9-A has the lowest damage per match of all the mechs I calculated. But surprisingly, it has pretty good WLR and KDR, considering I struggled with it for so long. I don't know how much impact my last matches had though, when I was running with XL280 and medium lasers.

I think light mechs do get an artificial boost due to the higher frequency of AFK / DC kills.

Surprisingly, the two mechs at the bottom of my list are both snipers. The Cicada is a gauss sniper, the CTF-0XP is an ERPPC + Gauss sniper. Not effective killers, apparently.

My RVN-2X has better KDR, WLR and better 'efficiency' than my RVN-3L. That's interesting.

Really surprised that the Huginn is such an efficient killer, since it sprays MG fire and SRMs all over the place. I was expecting it to be at the bottom of the list.

Oddly it was the Grasshopper 5J. After 26 matches I have a 2.71 KDR. It runs a simple 2 LLaser, 4MLaser setup with a standard engine and JJs. Simple, but effective.

Not as surprising is the Panther 10K at 2.42 KDR. This mech is underrated IMO. I kind of hope it stays that way too (don't be nerfing my Panther :)).

As a side note. I always feel I do well in the Centurion A, yet numbers never quite really reflect it. Odd.

  • HBK-4G - 210 dmg/kill
  • FS9-S - 242 dmg/kill
  • FS9-A - 243 dmg/kill
  • FS9-E - 249 dmg/kill
  • CN9-AH - 269 dmg/kill
If I ignore the 25 match thing after stat reset it's AWS-9M, 192 dmg/kill based on only 12 kills. No big surprises I guess... the most surprising one would be KFX-D at 279 dmg/kill.

I don't know if it has to be over 100 matches, but at least 25 match minimum. Even 25 might be too little. I may find that in 25 more matches (50 total), my Grasshopper 5J might drop below 2 KDR. That's why at 26 matches it might look better than what it can do in the long run.

Now my Panther 10K has 74 matches under it's belt, so I am more confident that 2.41 is a more stable number.

Hi all,

Out of complete curiosity I decided to see what mechs (minimum 25+ matches- current stats) are my most efficient killers in.

I just used a simple formula of mech's total damage divided by number of kills. I'd say 99% games of played are PUGing.

I am sure that there may be issues using this formula but I am keeping to basics for simplicity.
Total damage/number of kills is going to be off, since the damage done is for all damage delivered
My 61K damage done to kill 150 Mechs in the Atlas-S for instance. Comes out to be 407 damage per kill average. ;)

Damage done isn't always a great indicator of lethality too. If your mech is more high damage pinpoint alpha, you would get more kills by dealing lessless overall damage.

If the build had a lot of DPS potential with less powerful weapons (constant chipping away), you could have huge damage numbers with less kills to show for it).

Both are effective in their own right when it comes to attacking the enemy, but the damage values won't always reflect that.

Its always a tricky thing to figure out with numbers alone.

A selection of my favorites - these are my biggest killers & the biggest carriers. Not necessarily the most 'efficient' as I see the lower end of the damage score skew towards kill steals tbh...

DIRE WOLF DWF-B 1/426

RAVEN RVN-3L 1/367

FIREBRAND 1/345

AWESOME AWS-8R 1/326

HUNCHBACK HBK-4G 1/290

LOCUST LCT-1V 1/283

YEN-LO-WANG 1/271
