Really surprised that the Huginn is such an efficient killer, since it sprays MG fire and SRMs all over the place. I was expecting it to be at the bottom of the list.

And it's actually your deadliest 'mech according to your "(damage/match) per efficiency" with a score of 1.38. A close second is your Atlas with almost the same score.

SCR-D 166.7
STK 3F 228.5
TDR 9SE 250.5

lol that SCR has the worst KDR and W/L out of my crows but seems to get the job done.

Damage done isn't always a great indicator of lethality too. If your mech is more high damage pinpoint alpha, you would get more kills by dealing lessless overall damage.

If the build had a lot of DPS potential with less powerful weapons (constant chipping away), you could have huge damage numbers with less kills to show for it).

Both are effective in their own right when it comes to attacking the enemy, but the damage values won't always reflect that.

Its always a tricky thing to figure out with numbers alone.

My 4x UAC/5 King Crab is perhaps an exception to this "rule" because it is both lethal (efficient) and contributes a LOT of damage to a match (high damage/match score). It's genuinely deadly.

Although kitfoxes and lynxes on my list do the job most efficiently... but it seems that the Nova-Prime has it all.

So, overall winner:
NOVA-PRIME ... quality AND quantity.

Keep in mind that we do not have any stats for CW... otherwise my stalkers, firestarters and panthers have something to say here.

It's definitely not a rule, just saying that it happens with some builds so it doesn't always tell the whole story.

And yes, your KC sounds like a beast.

This again shows those which have the best kill/match (damage/match per efficiency) are hardhitter Assaults (DW and KGC) and hardhitter brawlers.

Your cataphract-4x stats are... well... strange.
i mean... based on those data... your CTF-4X did 36 damage per match and yet have 96 kills after 106 matches?

Either you are the god of kill-steals or the stats are borked.

Keep it right, keep it tight.

Spider 5V = 169 / kill
RVN-3L = 170 / kill
HBK 4P = 173 / kill
BJ-1X = 185 / kill
Jenner-F = 195 / kill
RVN-2X = 201 / kill
Jenner-D = 205 / kill
BJ-1DC = 227 / kill (although...I sold this one! Hmm...)
SCR-Prime = 243 / kill
Locust 1V = 245 / kill
JM6-DD (machinegunripper) = 252 / kill

And although not meeting minimums...I noticed that, from what I think was a Marik Monday Madness trial ladder drop, the Commando 3A with 2 drops, 5 kills, at 79.6 damage/kill.

  • SCR-D 427,9 / kill
  • TDR-9S 429,9 / kill
  • TBT-7K 432,6 / kill
  • TBR 432,7 / kill
  • STK-4N 443,6 / kill
  • SHD-2D2 444,2 / kill
  • CTF-4X 457,4 / kill
  • ILYA 476,9 / kill
  • BNC-3E 494,8 / kill
  • BNC-3M 537,9 / kill
Is damage per kill a good criterion? Less damage would indicate better aiming, SRMs produce more damage etc.

I was also surprised, but seen I'm at work didn't pay much attention until you mentioned this and...

WOW stupid excel formatting thought the comma divider was a decimal divider and removed a 0.... will print up the corrected version below once I get it:

Will correct the other post.

seems...counter intuitive to have high damage to kill for .....snipers?

I know right but they don't pack enough punch to take out the enemies quickly and so many of the kills go to players who have that potential.

By snipers I mean mechs like Raven 3L with two erlarge or shadowhawk 2K with 3 erlarge.

I don't think there's an "efficient killing mech" but a "effective kill stealing mech".

In certain mechs, you are generally required to "do a lot of work" (and I don't mean use LRMs) and deal a lot of damage to your targets... only to have those possible kills "stolen" from right under you.

I wouldn't put these kinds of #s in such a rigid context.

You might be readint the table wrong.
The CTF does less than 40 dmg per kill... not per match ;)

As far as i can see/read...
you have 106 matches... in those 106 matches, you managed to deal 3661 overall damage while scoring a total of 96 kills.

conclusion:
3661 damage in 106 matches = 34.53 damage per match
96 kills in 106 matches = 0.9 kills per match
3661 total damage with 96 kills = 38.13 damage per kill.

which part am i reading wrong again?

A bunch of my lights had very low damage/kill values, and I suspect a lot of that has to do with being more likely to survive long enough to finish off stragglers (thanks hitboxes!) and being able to get to the right place and the right time to score the last hit.
