It's a damn shame, when a Atlas takes the field it should be a object of abject fear.
And it should not be able to brought down a clown on a unicycle and a freaking small laser.
Thanks PGI.

Iv made the switch too MWLL cause it brings a far greater tactical sense too Mechwarrior for myself. It also provides greater team play and depth. I feel like there I am piloting a mech and feeling like an Atlas is an Atlas cause there its a sight too be hold not something you want too overlook regardless of terrain or environment. But like I said if this game improves and becomes more mechwarrior like I'll come back but for now its time too move on. Also keeping the MWLL post in check on off topics section.

The E variant is a real moneymaker on open maps. But generally all are usefull. Really loved the rac variant.

As a fellow Atlas driver, I feel your pain about the old girl :(

If ever there was a chassis that needed a re-think of its quirks...

Yes the E " master and command" really becomes the center of your team. ECM keeps it self hidden,BHP extents its radar range and that works well with its on board C3 that allows the transfer of tactical data too friendlies, plus it has a iNarc too help guide missiles its like a walking command center.

That's not PGI's fault, that's the fault of us the players. NASCAR tactics leave the fatties in the dust to be killed by 1,000 small laser cuts.

I'm probably one of the only guys to do this, but when I drive mediums and lights (mostly mediums), when the match starts, I beeline to the assault lance and walk them into position. My role it two fold: 1) keep the flies off the camel and 2) sting any camel that comes in range. When the match starts and all the other lights and mediums go NASCAR, I'm that odd duck running the other way.

For the assault pilots with LRMs that move up and stay with the blob: I got your back. For the assault pilots who sit 800m out with LRMs, I got your back while I'm near, but I'm going to look for another camel to hitch a ride on. Assault LRM boats gotta move up and be with the group.

When I drive assaults and if NASCAR leaves me in the dust and I collect some fleas, I put my back to some terrain and make them chew through 500-600 points of armor. Know and love terrain and cover, always have an escape plan.

^^
THis so much... RUss... are you listening? You need to buff the craptastic ATLAS... I haven't piloted my Atlas in over a year (DDC)... meanwhile my Stalkers are still pretty awesome... even without Quirks they are feared... but Atlas people just laugh.

Altas should have like 100+ ARmor to all locations.... just do it...

Sorry to OP... Everyone needs to take a break from this game ( I did for 3-4 months last year at this time when Clans invaded because I KNEW they would be overpowered and PAY to Win (if only temporarily)... Thank god I did that... I would have been too mad to play during that time..

Hopefully Russ/Paul and PGI team will come to their senses and buff the Atlas.. .and you(Kh0rn) will come back

Yeah, I haven't touched the atlas in months, except during the founders tournament. But most of the big assaults feel squishy to me. The DW is easy to kill, luckily it can carry a lot of weapons. The Atlas and highlander lack the weapons. If it was just assaults battling assaults, it would be a good battle. But it's all the smaller laser boats that zip around and tear you apart. When HSR is working well, I can pick them off. But that hasn't been too common lately.

Sad to lose another Atlas pilot...

O7 mechwarrior.

I know I always feel better with a God of War beside me. Other assaults may be more effective but nothing gives me the confidence of standing beside an Atlas.

Apnu I'm right there with ya buddy some of my most enjoyable light games have been dogfighting another light while our fatties march on

Sorry to see you go Kh0rn - might see you in MW:LL - but for me as well it's adios to MW:0 - this game will be what it is and it will never be the MW that I was sold on when I first signed up as Legendary Founder.

And it doesnt even need quirks.

I to hope MWO turns into the proper MW sequel...

Thing I didnt like about MWLL was the score to upgrade system....

ID rather just be able to pick w/e mech I want and go hunting.
