Though summer months we should see a normal downswing, theoretically.
Increase from Students being off school.
Decrease from it being nice out etc.
Increase from Wave 3 arriving.

Here is a more important group of questions.
This is only theoretical,
If the population is dropping, then what?
If the population is increasing, then what?
If you knew the population was <2000 people a day, would you still play?
If you knew the population was >10,000 people a day, would you still play?
Usually if populations drop, developers don't want others to know the numbers as to not scare more people into jumping ship. Ignorance is bliss... until it hits steam and people can see the #'s.

MWO is a great game even if it has many flaws.

Here here.
Bear in mind that there was also recently a huge CW battle that most people will still be recovering from, and a founders tournament.
Both require a fairly huge time investment, so a reduced CW population especially is understandable here.

The Founders tourney took a huge time investment? I got my 20 games no problem...unless you're referring to people going for the leaderboard thing.
Glad I didn't bother with Tukayyid.

Yep, leaderboard. There comes a point where you're just grinding for points, hoping for a perfect game - and when you get it, you increase your total by a whopping 10 or 20. That sort of grind is bananas.

70,000 people bought Founders packs.
Only 2,000 voted in the Founder's map update poll.
Do the math.

I've been staying out of the events. There's no fun in it.
Lately it's been perpetual events.
"Play the game!"
"Please play!"
"Super rewards! Play!"
Stop pumping these dang events and I'd be happy to. Jeebus.

The community asked for more events, and ... we sure did get more events alright, but there's this thing called moderation that the developer haven't entirely grasped the concept of yet, in multiple respects.
