Where can the quirks for the mech selected be viewed? I am hovering over the mech, checked the screens and nothing about quirks for the mech in question...wtf PGI?

Lower right in expanded view... Tab that says 'Mech Details'

The mechlab took a little bit of messing around to figure out, but I got it pretty quick.
There are a lot of good suggestions above, but it is not as bad as some made it out to be. When the last one came out there was a ton of complaining about it too.
I agree with a lot of the pros and cons mentioned already. But ya..It lets me do what I need to do. :)

Had to bump up my resolution in the game for the mechlab...not sure why I didn't have it higher anyway. Seems to run a bit smoother now, and I love the FOV option.

Erm...why can't I select any mech upgrades?

And it's my first glance, but how does one purchase new mechs now??

You have to go to the STORE tab. Which, I actually kind of like...

Thanks, I just noticed. It's kinda odd tbh.

I still can't click on any mech upgrade option. Even after stripping a mech of all equipment.
There's just the blue upgrade (currently installed item I assume) and the other upgrade which is lightly grayed out and not clickable! ....confounding!

OK, I had just an idea.. maybe it is too stupid, but.... PGI... and you guys here.. what do you think... would be somehow possible to use 2 different set of resolution settings, one for the game itself and one just for the Mechlab? Would be too hard to build in the UI-settings such a doubled application?

Under expanded view in the bottom right click the icon near Mech Stats on the left.

Did pgi get rid of the group size list for CW? Is it just me because before the patch you could tell how many groups were in queue and what size of groups were in your group. It's just a minor annoyance because I didn't care if i was going to drop with 12 pugs or not. But it was kind of nice to know if I was going to get lucky and get a 11 man group in my drop.

Ah I see now...but who the hell notices that and automatically knows thats where the quirks would be?
Also, Zeus - 5S quirks are incorrect in game, so I hope PGI fixes that.

yea, just make sure you spend more money on your computer that does everything except expand the mechlab in THIS game... with no issues anywhere else on my computer, or online, gaming or other media, no issues, but to even SEE all the features of mechwarrior, I have to upgrade my entire machine.... great, now to find a way to leach money for a new computer from somewhere.........

this is exactly what im saying man, i have an old but good rig that i use for 3D modeling, sculpting and Design (AMD Phenom II X6 BE, Geforce GTX 480, 8GB of ram). i just can´t go around changing my monitor for a bigger one because a game! that would mess the hell up of my system color profile and high FPS count (i need all the fps i can get to sculpt in 3D with millions of polygons).

and to get this same performance with a bigger screen i would need to change my Whole rig. Hell NO!

The new Mechselect just sucks , can't say it any other way.
It is clumsy , and anoing.
I want an option to turn on "classic" mechselct, where i can see about 90% of my 68 mechs on one screen and easyly chose from them!

WHY !?!?!? PGI Why !?!?!?!?

The new mechlab is quite pretty reminds me somwhat of smurfys^^

EDIT: And when i click mechlab (topscreen) id like to get to mech select; not to the mechlab of the mech i just played, "he" is good as he is and does not need reconfig after every match.

I guess not, or the orion wouldent still look like hes got an arrow to its knee, and after like 5 clicks the hunchback appears with broken arms and cammo , plainly obvious and still not fixed for like ages.
These are just some things that show me you don't speend much time in the mechlab, (testing it...).



Please place the mechstats (the expanded window wich currently blocks the left leg) on the right side of the screen there is some open place left!

Why no separate res for the mechlab?!?

Mechlab - Real Improvement (even if some adjustment or corrections will surely be made);


Mech Selection - Seems, that like me, most don't like it. Multiple steps to select a new mech, Confusing when changing mechs where you don't realize if you cancelled unwanted alterations;

Looks like feedback was the same when they put up new mechlab on test server, but somehow they chose to ignore this and keep it that way. This mech selection menu already existed before, but I guess no one used it (I, at least didn't).

Which leads me to guess that this alteration is made because of access speed or something technical;


Mech Purchase - Also more confusing than before. Forces users to use a 2nd menu to purchase a new mech instead of doing it in Mechlab. No way to see total number of Mechbays/free Mechbays (only free Mechbays in store i guess.);

Quirks - Still the only way to easily access all quirks is by 3rd party unofficial user created sites (kudos for everyone who invests their time in this). Why can't they simply keep an updated PDF or text file for reference that everyone can easily access and use to compare mech quirks? Something like this, that I normally keep opened in browser when doing builds, works for me.

So, it seems one step forward, several steps back.
