Tonight we're going to get the new and improved mech selection screen. So I'd like to take a moment to commemorate the current one.

As a semi-collector, I've basically picked 3 IS mechs from each of the 4 weight classes. I've bought all their available variants, except certain hero mechs. I've fitted them all with weapons, upgrades and engines. As of an hour ago, I've even mastered all 55 of my mechs.

So as a semi-collector, it gives me a certain level of nerdy neckbeardy satisfaction to look at my vast hangar of 55 mechs, all ready to roll at the drop of a dime. All complete. All painted up the way I like them. White, for the most part. Except this striped RVN-2X.

I gather that PGI is aware that not everyone is happy with the upcoming, new and improved mech selection screen. I look forward to seeing the version they come up with in the future, after the one in the June 2nd patch.

Meanwhile, I invite everyone to take this last opportunity to take a screenshot of all your mechs in the current mech selection screen. Might be a while untill we get another good view of them.

Cheers! I like it too. Ever since I saw this camo on the website, I wanted it for one of my Ravens.

I don't usually like the Dazzle camo, but for the Raven, it actually looks... kind of cool.

It makes my heart glow to see another pilot with so many Locusts in their hangar. The only variant I don't have is the 3E, and that's only because I'm saving my pennies to by XL170-190 engines for all my Locusts so far.

I guess I'll try to throw together a composite image of all 118 Mechs in my bay.

Excellent! The Locusts were rough, I'm not gonna lie. The LCT-3E is awesome, the 3S and 3M are ok. The others were hard work. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the LCT-3V when it's out for C-bills. Right now, I think I'll use it as a tiny AC2 troll. 2MPL + 2MG just seems too boring.

You'd be surprised actually, I ripped off the MG's and dedicated all my tonnage to DHS and 2 MPL's... If you're good enough, you can take on Mechs 20 tons heavier than you with ease. Plus, you get to do 12 damage in under half a second.

That's the Mechlab screen, which of course can be used as a mech selector. The actual mech selection screen is some kind of wierd listed variant that I never got the hang of to use. Are you telling med the mechlab screen, the one we love, is going away?

Well, to be fair, Dazzle Camo has always been black and white and is used to make it difficult to judge distances in WWI.

My mechlab atm manages to have all the variants of chassis on the same rows with none crossing over nice neat and tidy and didn't end up that way by accident either. I haven't looked at any of the new UI stuff can I expect to be severely pissed off after patching then?

A sad day. I tend to choose my mechs visually using the lil' pictures and you are telling me that these are completely gone? Do i have to use a text based scroll list to choose one of my 160+ mechs?

So essentially what they did was make a rubbish list that nobody used and then set out to force them all to use it like it or not.

Great work.

Looks like I still won't be playing or spending for quite some time.

So i clicked the select mech screen for the 4th time maybe, why take step backwards in being easier to use when so many good things are coming. İ loved that wall of mechs, i was so proud (or whatever feeling you get when you buy too many mechs) when i got the slider next to my mechlab.

Sure i will get used to this clunkier method but screw this.
