Looking at what makes dota 2 successful with millions of players?
People want to feel like they can be a millionaire by playing a game.

A competitive ranked solaris arena is a necessity
1v1, 4v4, allow betting of cbills and possibly mc by spectators,
Allow mechwarriors to bet the mech they are fighting with against combatants
Winner takes all. the hype would be real

I know it was talked about in a town hall that solaris would lower the player base
of game modes and make it hard to find a match anywhere, so I think turning
quickplay into the Solaris arena would fix this

Online tournaments should be hosted for ease of access to players 1v1 4v4
Allow players to purchase tickets to enter, if for legal reasons real prize money
Couldnt be given to the winners then prize mc or cbills

Other things that should be implemented in the future, more music! music
More music, add different theme songs per faction, for example clan songs
Could have a more tribal beat like mechwarrior 2.
A salvage system could be implemented
Larger maps, like planetside. people get bored of the deathmatch style gameplay
Infantry, tanks, jets, helicopters. living legends had them like 5 years ago
Mech lore could be added, more of it
Buildable bases? or placeable turrets, infantry positions on fw defense

honestly my super mostly mega awesome prefered feature would be full free mech customisation as APB realdoed has in car customsiation.
But I guess that won't happen so freey and palyer submitted decals will do it fine.

And a proper chat, as in REAL chat. It annyoign that th chat for factions isn't omnipresent in all menus.
It's annoying that the startup sequence breaks the chat and lets all you typed until then be gone
Yes pls form things needed outside of wishes, a better and proper chatsystem is REALLY needed

There are several features missing in this game that impact game play in a very negative way. Adding these features wouldn't be a big deal, but not having them make game play nothing short of maddening! Additionally, these features are not new. They have been in previous MechWarrior games and are part of what made them great!

#1. The weapon system / console in the cockpit is VERY hard to read. It's not obvious which weapon group your currently have selected. It's also not obvious whether or not you are in group fire or chain fire. It would be awesome to have the computer voice tell you when you switch firing modes or weapon groups. It would also be nice to disable unused weapon groups so that you don't accidentally switch to an empty weapon group in the heat of battle.

#2. The targeting system makes me want to rip my hair out! Why is there no Nearest Target, Next Target, Target under Retical features? This impacts game play so badly that it made me almost quit the game!

#3. There is also no way to target a friendly. Sometimes targeting a friendly is super important ( like when you need to escort them or help them or form a squad with them ). It would be pretty easy to just press a button and select someone's name from a drop down list,

#4. There is no way to Aim up / Down. This breaks basic game play and makes the game extremely frustrating.

#5. No D.F.A. D.F.A. has been part of Mech Warrior since before it was even a video game! Why is it not in this one?! It completely ruins several basic game play mechanics.

#6. No Active / Passive radar. Again, another basic Mech Warrior game play mechanic that is missing.

#7. The text on the mini map in unreadable on some maps because the text is white and the back ground of the map is also white. The text is also too small. It would be good to make the text size adjustable.

#8. The text displayed above a friendly is utterly unreadable. I've given up even trying. Super tiny blue text displayed over the background while the friendly is moving is about as impossible to read as it gets.

#9. No eject / self destruct. Another basic Mech Warrior game play mechanic that is missing.

So, I know that is a sizable list, but none of those things would be very hard to add / fix. They would make a HUGE positive impact on game play and they are basic Mech Warrior staples. Without them, you're not really playing Mech Warrior. It's more like an FPS that just happens to take place in a mech.

Suggestion for the command wheel: When you use the "Enemy Spotted", have it automatically include teh map coordinates of the mech you are reporting the position of.

heat cap
less weapons wounts on mechs, stock load out is what you get for hard points
RACs
better ECM toys
real radar with active passive settings
mechs blow up when dead.
ppcs with no min range

Features to make these robots more like robots and less like tanks:

Raise and lower torso height (squatting, standing up straight).
Raise and lower arm height (shoot from the hip or with the arm straight out at shoulder-level).

Make none-hit scan weapons better: convergence lock toggle.

I would like to see perhaps a couple of more maps within the near future. I also would like to see a new game mode where one player is tagged as the unit leader. If the other team eliminates this player they win, also if said team manages to defeat the opposing unit leader or commander they win. This means that the players must work together to protect their commander during the match.

I also would like to see Pirates added as a possible faction, as well as Clan Coyote (along with their Streak LRM's added to the game).

Ok I have been playing since closed beta and I have always had one major issue with this game. THE LACK OF WEAPON VARIETY. I have been using the same 9 or 10 energy weapons since I started playing a little under 2 years ago maybe less I've lost count. Come on pgi stop giving up more mechs and give us more weapons. here are some suggestions.

IS weapons:
UAC/2,10,20
RAC/2,5,10,20
Continuous beam lasers
ER Small and Medium lasers
Heavy Lasers
SSRM 2 and 4

Clan versions of RAC, Heavy lasers, and Continuous beam lasers.

I can remember in one of the old Mechwarrior games some sort of Gatling gun. It was capable of laying down devastating fire. It would be nie to see some sort of ballistic weapon like that.

Amen to the targeting mechanics..... I think there could be quite a bit of balance to the lights actually being helpful for scouting if you didn't have to have ECM to be effective. Smaller mechs with smaller profiles should take the targeting system longer to acquire... This would help with being in light and using the mech for its intended purpose. It is fairly frustrating to be targeted and get a face full of LuRMs just as soon as you crest a hill on the flank (with Artemis, and modules, etc...). This may also reduce the need for beefed up components on the lights, giving them an advantage when it comes to brawling. Flies should still be able to be swatted in a brawl....

I think these mechs are just plain underutilised for role warfare, and the ones that are used are in it for the sniping, and seem to always be the ECM variants. Advantages for being elusive may help swing the balance back in the favour of role warfare for all light mechs......... Just my two cents...... Posted Image

I know I'm in the minority on this but can we have more controller settings. In particular, rudder sensitivity. The past several patches I've noticed the torso twist is getting so sensitive I cannot walk a straight line with my hand resting on the flight stick without eventually facing the opposite direction that I'm moving. And targeting, forget it! The sticks not the problem. I've rebuilt it several times. In the past, re calibrating my controller after an new patch was installed used to solve the problem. Now even that has no affect. Increasing the dead zone only deadens both axis but does nothing to the rudder. As a traditionalist I enjoy piloting with a stick and it would be a shame to have to be another point and click warrior. Yes, it would drastically improve my hit ratio but I like the challenge of piloting with a stick.

On the subject, a three shot use per game would be ok. As its stands, it is a certain level of unplayable.

Not a big forum user so apologise if already stated, but I would love to be able to build mechs in my account offline from the game. a cut down mechlab for android/ios/netbooks etc with no combat system so I can play with builds etc out and about would be a great addition and help continue affair with battlemechs Posted Image

this probably isn't a great idea, or maybe someone has already suggested something similar. But just in case i'm wrong on both accounts. I think the biggest complaint people have about quick play is their team. Many people hide and don't support, or push with the team. Others farm damage. This leads me to believe that people have the mistaken impression that high damage or living longest (keeping a good KDR) is the same as being good or playing well with a team.

I, on the other hand, think the match score is the best rubric we have to rank performance. It's just hard to explain that to guys that only care about damage or KDR.

So my suggestion: provide a bonus to the highest match score on each team. Nothing big, maybe an xp and or Cbill bonus. But I think it should be noted on the team stats page where everyone sees it. I don't want this for some video gamey, who has top score reason. I want a visible goal that motivates players to work better in a team environment. promote all the aspects of team play that make for better matches and a better experience.
